Mars and Earth reach Hohmann Orbital Trajectory [/center] In one weeks time, Earth and Mars will be at the closest point in their relative orbits, allowing not only for the closest possible distance in interplanetary travel, but for a slingshot trajectory between the two stellar bodies. This window decreases the time spent in deep space considerably. Rules: It is possible to make a slingshot trajectory between Mars and Earth in week 10. In order to do so, the ship must start in Mars Orbit or Earth Orbit, must move directly to the other planetary body, and must either enter Deep Space or leave orbit on week 24. If the ship in question changes course or stops for any reason at any time, the bonus to deep space travel is lost. Outcome: 1/2 Deep Space travel between Earth and Mars on week 24. |

The War enters Side 6 As both Federation and Zeon race towards the end of their available resources, fighting breaks out inside Side 6's Libot colony, resulting in many civilian casualties. It is rumored that the colony allowed Federation engineers to test new mobile suit designs on the colony, prompting the attack. Side 6's government refused to comment. December 12th, UC 0079
The Black Rock Pirates attack the JDEG The Black Rock Pirates, somewhat known in the Earth Sphere for their daring assaults on both EF and Zeon, have attacked and destroyed a Jupiter Energy Fleet in Deep Space. While government reserves will be able to maintain the war effort, this will result in decreased power rationing and a lower standard of living throughout the Earth Sphere for several weeks. Due to the huge amount of Zeon technology at the pirates disposal, the JDEG is currently blaming the Zeon government for the loss of their fleet, and is demanding reparations. Due to the JDEGs monopoly on Helium 3 processing and transport, Zeon has quickly obliged, sending large sums of money to the Jovians. Outcome: Zeon loses 3000 Side RP in reparations to the JDEG. |

The Solar Ray is completed Despite Degwins protests, Ghiren Zabi has the Solar Ray completed, the Side 3 colony of Mahal evacuated in order to speed construction. The Solar Ray, according to Ghiren, will be capable of completely decimating Revils attacking fleet, and the war will end at A Bao A Qu. |
