The Lludd, a newly assigned Medea, flew on it's course toward its paradrop mission somewhere in the Pacific. Winds were calm so the ride was fairly comfortable. At least as comfortable as a Medea could be anyway. There wasn't much to see out the windows anymore besides water. Lots of water. Unfortunately, the lack of scenery also meant it was fairly boring, and this meant that Arieta was busy talking to whichever unlucky victim happened to walk by. It was usually Aurem, mostly because he was sitting next to her. This was more true the further into the flight they got as the bridge crew learned that walking into the back was asking for verbal torture from a very bored Arieta.
Eventually, even Aurem got tired of the one way conversation topics Arieta was attempting to amuse herself with and started to focus the two of them in on the mission they were flying toward. Rather than upset, Arieta looked both relieved and excited to hear that Aurem was taking over.
"I probably should have talked about this yesterday, but did you notice anything that can help me improve during the spar you observed yesterday?" Aurem asked.
Arieta had sat out from the spar with Lieutenant Ackart in the interest of keeping the fight fair. Aurem had lost, but he had expected that from the start. The Lieutenant's GM Command was more maneuverable than Aurem's GM Ground Sniper, and in a battle where armor counts for nothing, that meant Aurem had been at a disadvantage from the start. Not enough to add Arieta into the fight though. It had been her job to watch for flaws in his combat techniques.
"I really couldn't see much else you could have done. You fought well. I just wish I could have at least helped you by telling you where to shoot at the end." Arieta said looking slightly disappointed that she couldn't find a more useful answer.
Though after a slight pause she added teasingly, "Oh! But not getting your head stabbed in the first place would have helped too."
"Thanks for that oh so helpful tip." Aurem said sarcastically. It was a recently reacquired skill he'd learned from Arieta. He hadn't used much sarcasm before he met her, having generally been silent most of the time.
"You shouldn't have even been using those in the first place. I was kind of surprised how little trouble you got in for that actually." Arieta said, ignoring Aurem's sarcasm.
