Bryce looked out from one of the observation windows to get a look at the Hildolfr being towed by the Liger, the 9th Combined Operations Fleet's Gallop. Even though he took quite the hit when they broke through the border, he insured the safety of one of their vessels. Not to mention that that vessel happens to be the one he is occupying for this expedition! He turned away from the window and proceeded down the hallway, smiling at the performance of his debut. It might have been too much, but he did get the job done. Break through the enemy and protect our ships. Pretty straight forward assignment, he thought.
Bryce was hoping though, that after their expedition, the other soldiers in Zeon would take him a bit more seriously. That means that he would have more leverage than he does now, and that only means he is one step closer to finding where Arianna is. Though he knew she was shipped off to Jaburo before she left him, he wasn't counting on her being there. What if he was wrong though? If she is there and he doesn't go to look, will he have another chance like this one again? Entering South America as a Zeon soldier alone is asking for a tombstone. Contemplating his actions, Bryce headed to his quarters and shut the door behind him.
He walked over to the small desk and sat down, bringing out a map of northern South America, tracing his finger along known routes. Walking was out of the question, and he sure as hell knew that the 9th wouldn't just let him "take" a vehicle to go to Jaburo. Taking Hildolfr was pretty much a no-go, seeing as the Federation probably wouldn't take a mobile armor as a welcoming sight. Running his hand through his hair, taking another look at the map before staring at the wall, Bryce took in a deep breath. He put his hands behind his head and leaned back in his chair some.
Then, it came to him. The realization almost made him fall out of his seat. It was so simple! He's been in Federation bases before, unnoticed. He's done espionage plenty of times. Why couldn't he do so again? But alas, the problems comes back to Zeon. Zeon isn't going to just let him go play spy. He was a soldier now, apart of the Terrestrial Assault Force. Not some spy like he used to be. Taking a long sigh, he edged forward to put his head down on the desk. It will take some time getting used to being restricted like this, as Bryce was used to the freedom of being an agent. However, with these restrictions, he is gaining considerable power.
Sitting up, he looked to the photograph of Arianna on his desk and smiled. He wouldn't be careless and go off on his own. He'll wait for the right chance to go. Rushing in now would ruin everything. All thoughts of finding Arianna were put on hold for the moment. Bryce found purpose once again and all it took was a little action. Besides, isn't the saying, "Good things come to those who wait?"
