"The sound of the waves has always been so relaxing..." Marina smiled as she stood next to her officer, the two just out of the reach of the tide as the waves broke and washed upon shore. The sun had just risen above the horizon and out of the depth of the ocean, the early morning light reflecting off the water in a beautiful array much to Marina's delight. She always felt at home when near the water, and lately she found herself growing closer Xavier. His presence gave her a feeling of security, like everything was going to be alright as long as he said so. Marina smiled just slightly as she looked up at her officer. "Don't you think so Obersturmfuhrer?" The hardened officer nodded in agreement, closing his eyes as he felt the ocean breeze brush against his face. It was seldom he had a moment to relax anymore and he enjoyed the brief moment of silence as they stood at the water's edge awaiting his subordinates. Xavier opened his eyes and looked down at the young captain, smiling as a father would to his daughter. He couldn't help but notice how her eyes mirrored the ocean, illuminating a bright blue much like the shimmering waters in front of them. "Indeed Marina... Indeed..." Returning his gaze back to the water his expression hardened as his thoughts moved to less pleasant ones. It was about time Adeline and Novosad reported, and he needed to make sure that they were all on the same page for their upcoming operation. The Obersturmfuhrer new he could count on Novosad to do his job, but Adeline was a bit more of a mystery. "It's almost time..." Xavier muttered, Marina nodded in acknowledgment as she put on a stern face, her hair flowing in the wind as her bright blue eyes quickly turned to ice. As comfortable as they may be with each other when alone, Marina knew that she had to maintain an air of professionalism around everyone else; her training wouldn't allow for anything else. ~ Not far from where the two Schuzstaffel officers stood at the water's edge, a tent stood out amongst the dunes just behind them, housing maps, orders and food for the officers and distinguished pilots. It was this lean-to that Xavier would brief his Oberscharfuhrer's of their newest orders. To the south, the Jukon submarines of the Obersturmfuhrer's fleet were 'docked' in the mouth of the river, crew members scurrying back and forth as they worked to resupply the three massive naval ships for the coming mission.

The light sound of waves crashing could be heard, as a pair of pilots made for the beach."Do you think he'll live up to the hype?" Rhin inquired. Rose glanced over at her subordinate. "Yes. Unlike other branches of the Zeon forces. The SS doesn't suffer anyone who can't meet expectations." Rhin nodded and seemed to accept the answer well enough. Cresting the small ridge before the shore, their sight gave way to a small stretch of sand and ocean as far as the eye could see. Rhin gave a small gasp in wonder. Its no wonder, there are many things about Earth people from the colonies have never really seen. Thought Rose briefly considering Rhins reaction.
Motioning for Rhin to stop for a moment, Rose turned to face her. "I want to be clear on something. I might tolerate your occasional silly outburst. But you might find others here to be so accommodating." Rose gave a look as she said this, attempting to convey how serious she was. Rhin gave a brief nod and seemed to at least bring her face under control. Rose stared for a few moments longer before turning and heading down the beach towards the tent.
Upon reaching the tent, Rose smoothly opened the flap allowing herself and Rhin to enter. The both quickly snapped a salute "Obersturmfuhrer." they said in unison as a greeting. Not even a second later Rhin said "Wow you never said he was so big." Rose felt her eyebrow twitch at this. That girl She thought in both annoyance and slight amusement.

Xavier looked up from his maps as two young women entered the tent. He looked them over slowly, before standing straight up and nodding for them to at ease. One was a beautiful blonde, dressed in a form fitting, black and silver Schuzstaffel dress uniform, adorned with red cord to denote her as a newtype. The younger girl assigned to the Oberscharfuhrer, wore a generic TAF uniform, and stood just behind her superior. Before he could say a thing, the TAF pilot leaned out from behind Rose to get a better look at the famous Xavier Brennan and blurted out...
"Wow you never said he was so big."
Xavier glared, surprised by the lack of professionalism the young girl displayed. After staring her down for a couple of seconds, he raised an eyebrow and moved his gaze to his subordinate, Rose Adeline.
What a strange pair...
He shook his head as Marina handed him the folder with the Oberscharfuhrer's orders. She allowed herself a soft smile as he took the papers from her, before returning to his side. He looked them over briefly then looked to the entrance to the tent, pausing...
"Where is Novosad..." He whispered in a hushed tone to Marina, who looked at him, just as puzzled as he was.

Ritter popped the collar on the fresh Schutzstaffel. He had never grown accustomed to the cloth’s feel the few times he had been found in one and now during the war more often than not he was restricted to the performing his role as the innards of the masked form of death. He adjusted the uneasy uniform once more as he walked through the flap, not giving much attention to it. Slowly, his blue eyes glances around the room and examined those that had gathered, paying attention to Rose in particular. He was familiar with the two officers present but this was the first time he had met the fellow Oberscharfuhrer.
His words went directly to Xavier and were strictly business related, his eagerness to finish this quickly was apparent.
“Equipment localizing is being performed on 6 of my men. Due to the flood conditions and unavailable resources I believe deployment of the second squad is unlikely.”
The tension between the two had grown considerably in the past few weeks. Back at Manila Ritter would have sworn his life to the officer; words of his killing of Zeon men made him question that.
His time with the Terrestrial Assault Force officer Ando Shoji, brought with it more doubt. One man who stood on the battle lines against evil and valued honor, and the other who would put a bullet in his fellow man instead of some loose whore, Ritter’s beliefs followed neither since he preferred his own bullets hit anyone who was not a part of Zeon’s rebirth of the earth. Ritter’s thoughts flowed through the back of mind as he continued to evaluate his officer while moving on.
“Also, here are the reports of the VIPs we neutralized in South America.” His hand passed off a folder to one of the accompanying assistants. With little interest to perk up a conversation he stood at attention and awaited his dismissal.

Xavier's eyes met Ritter's as he entered the tent. The Schuzstaffel officer was a little surprised to see the Panzergrenadier commander appear with out his armor but dismissed it as he stared the monster down. Brennan would never agree with Novosad's methods, but he was more than willing to yield to the fact that he had no one near as effective as this man when it came to his infantry.
The Obersturmfuhrer didn't budge, but nodded slightly in acknowledgment of Novosad's assessment to the upcoming engagement. Xavier's eyes didn't leave the Schuzstaffel Infantryman until he stepped back and stood at attention, at which point he motioned to Marina to place Novosad's folder on his desk. The young girl walked to the back of the tent, placing the South America report on her officer's desk, and retrieving the orders for the next mission.
"Nice of you to join us Oberscharfuhrer Novosad..." He spoke with a slight hint of disdain, taking a pair of folders from his young Captain.
"There is a small problem that requires solving, and while the main forces of the Duchy's Terrestrial Military is busy elsewhere, Lord Gihren wishes us to tend to said 'problem'." With out another word, he handed the folders to the two Oberscharfuhrer's and gave them a moment to look over their orders before continuing...

Rose's eyes glanced briefly towards her fellow Oberscharfuhrer. He was nearly as tall as Xavier. His report seemed satisfactory but his tone seemed a bit lacking in some manner. Interesting Thought Rose upon hearing the slight disdain in Xaviers voice.
Xavier seemed to straighten up, and Rose left such thoughts to another time. "There is a small problem that requires solving, and while the main forces of the Duchy's Terrestrial Military is busy elsewhere, Lord Gihren wishes us to tend to said 'problem'." said Xavier. With that a folder was passed into her hands. She opened it and briefly flipped through. "So this is our objective?"

"It is..."A rare smirk spread across Xavier's face as he nodded. The Schuzstaffel Officer had grown a little anxious to demonstrate their power, the full might of Lord Gihren's special guard. He looked the two in the eye, his burning with a fire that had been missing for some time, and his young captain, Marina Nimue by his side, he began to explain.
"You two are the best that I have at my disposal; no one on this wretched planet can challenge that fact. While the Terrestrial Assault Force is out satisfying Garma's every whim, we answer to Lord Gihren... It is his wish that we complete this objective, as swiftly, and forcefully as possible. The Federation Gundams that reside at this guerrilla base have been a thorn in the side of the Duchy's Earth Campaign for far too long." Xavier paused for a second as he circled a location on a map of the South Eastern region of Asia.
"It is the Schuzstaffel's job to crush the Federation's post and make an example of these Gundam Pilots. I have every bit of faith in your abilities to perform the assigned tasks; attached to your folders is the scouting report we received on the South East Asia Headquarters. Use whatever means necessary to complete your tasks... Victory will be ours..."
Marina snapped to attention and with a slight smile let out a resounding "Sieg Zeon!"
Xavier couldn't help but let another confident smirk escape his lips as he saluted his subordinates. They were going to make Gihren proud, and make the Federation fear the black uniform of the Schuzstaffel...
