"Load those damn Torpedoes!" Xavier threw his flight helmet across the hangar bay, the visor shattering as it slammed into the steel wall. The Obersturmfuhrer gritted his teeth as the muffled noises of the battle outside echoes through out the Lorelay; he should be out there.
Muncheck...
His temper began to rise as he thought of all the times he had been bested by the Federations Waterproof Gundam. Xavier knew that if he didn't deal with him for good, that not only would his life be forfeit, but so would Marina's; He couldn't lose another daughter, she had to make it out of this alive...
The Lorelay rocked from the explosion of the battle being waged in the water. The officer had no clue who was winning, but he began to get a sinking feeling in his gut as he felt like he had been here one too many times before.
Marina...
“Enemy contacts detected!” A flustered radar tech looked up at Gihren as several unidentified signatures appeared on his screen. He stood up, emphatically pointing at the screen. “Sir, a squad of unidentified attack craft has flanked us!”
Xavier’s heart dropped as his worst fears came into reality. All of a sudden he felt real sick as he stared blankly at the green blips on the radar screen. Before he could move, the military transports were rocked by an explosion…
Ariel…
“Can anyone tell me which ship that was?!” Xavier ran over to the communications tech and grabbed him by the collar, picking him up out of his seat.
“No sir, the blast from whichever ship that was has released too many particles into the area, communications are down…” The frighten tech struggled to get his words out as he stared into the Schutzstaffel agent’s eyes. Realizing he was wasting time, Brennan dropped the useless technician to the ground and tried to call the agents he had aboard the other ships.
ZZZzzZzzz….
All he got was static. Furious, he motioned to the two guards aboard their ship to escort Gihren to the escape pods in case things went south real fast. Sweat began to form on his brow, as he anxiously ran through every possible scenario he could. There had to be a way to find out which ship it was, or at least rescue the people on the ship.
Damnit…
No.
The officer shook the memory out of his head, as reality came rushing back to him; the noise of the crew hustling to load out his suit, sirens going off as the battle continued between the titans outside; Where was Marina?
"I see you're friend has decided to make an appearance after all." A sarcastic voice escaped the shadows behind him as the green eyed SS officer seemed to slink like a cat into the light. A grin of misplaced satisfaction adorned her face as she paced in a circle around Xavier. He cut his eyes at her; the hairs the back of his neck standing on end as she just added to his anger.
"What do you want, you wretched wench?" He stared her down as she came to a stop.
"Its time, love. Now is your time to shine, unleash the monster we both know is inside you, kill that worthless Gundam." Catalina twirled her finger, slowly, across his chest, batting her eyelids as she taunted Xavier.
"If not for me, for your precious Marina; surely you don't think he'll let her live if you fail to defeat him do you? Why would he?" She let out a sadistic chuckle as the fire in the Obersturmfuhrer's eyess began to rage.
"If she doesn't make it out of here alive, then neither do you Catalina... don't you forget that." He hissed as he grabbed her by the wrists and restrained her.
"I suggest you make sure she leaves the area, get the Lorelay as far away as you can from the Gundam." Xavier took a deep breath as he and Catalina both realized what was about to happen. "No matter what, you have to get her out of here..."
Catalina's face grew solemn as she understood; He didn't plan on making it out of this...
"If I don't make it, tell her I love her... and give her these." He unzipped his flight jacket, yanking off his dog tags as he did. Catalina stood in silence as the chain fell softly into the palm of her hand. Did she push too hard?
"X..."
"I don't want to hear it. You're getting your wish; You wanted this." He turned his back on the young woman, discarding his jacket, revealing a sweat drenched wife beater, and a cross tattoo on his right arm with the names "Ariel" and "Anastasia" around it.
It was what she wanted, Xavier was finally about to unleash his inner demons, and become the monster he was only years before; but why did she feel so miserable? She stared blankly at the dog tags in her hand...
"Xavier..."
"Load the Anti-Ship Torpedoes..." The Schutzstaffel officer growled as he walked past a few mechanics that were in the process of outfitting his suit.
As the Lorelay's crew hastily loaded the marine mobile suit out with everything they had left, Xavier made his way back into the cockpit and readied himself for his final stand; he had enough losing to this punk, it was time to end this; he'd get a victory over the Gundam even if it meant his life... especially if it would spare Marina's.
I won't keep you waiting any longer Hirsch...
"Obersturmbannfuhrer!" A panicked ensign burst into the Schutzstaffel officer's room with a message from their branch on the Earth's surface. The agitated officer cut his eyes at the intruder, sitting silently for a moment as he debated whether it was worth hearing out or not.
"What is it? Don't waste my time..." The man's voice seethed in disdain as he awaited the urgent message. He sat impatiently with his hands folded in his lap.
"It's your brother! It would seem he and Lord Garma have been heading up the effort to hold Odessa against Federation advances; it doesn't look so good." He hesitantly placed a folder on the officer's desk. With out a thought, he reached out and slowly began to browse the file.
"Interesting..." The man mused to himself.
"Looks like I may have to pay little brother a visit." The mysterious officer calmly shut the folder, laying it back on his desk as he turned his icy stare back to the nervous ensign.
"Get out of my sight..."
