Sebastian stood at the feet of his Gundam as the many men and women at New York began to gather. To his right stood his lieutenant, Vanessa Okoye, and to his left, the petite figure of the infamous captain Marina Nimue accompanied the commander. She looked up briefly, admiring the charisma her Obersturmbannfuhrer exhibited; so much like Xavier...
As the last people funneled in, he cleared his throat, silencing the crowd.
"Fellow Soldiers..." He paused
"Before I arrived on this wretched planet, all I heard were whispers of how the campaign on Earth was a waste; a failed attempt at beating the Federation back at their own game. My time here among you brave few has proven these nay sayers wrong!"
He pointed to the many in attendance as he began to rally the troops.
"We have accomplished a lot in my brief time here. You all have proven to be the sword of Zeon, the hammer that will drive the nail into the proverbial coffin of the Federation! We have put them up against the ropes, striking several decisive blows against their ground campaign; the first of many on the road of redemption for Odessa! I will accept nothing less than success; you have given me no reason to think we can't do otherwise."
The SS Commander paused to the sounds of cheers and encouragement an arrogant smirk spread across his face as he watched them. Everyone from the pilots to the cooks were rallying behind Sebastian.
So easily manipulated...
"The Federation dogs now bark at our door, trying to take back from us what is rightfully ours. For the glory of Zeon! We will see the enemy defeated, we will see the end of the day, we will win this war!"
All doubt was removed from their minds as they watched their leader preach to them; he had given them the courage and the confidence they had lacked not long ago. The crowd erupted "Sieg Zeon!"
Their voices carried into the bleak night sky, echoing through out the dilapidated buildings and into the outskirts.
"Well done sir... You really think they have it in them?" Vanessa turned, talking softly into her commander's ear.
"I think we'll see the end of the day..." Sebastian's lips curled into a sadistic smile as Hans stepped from behind the Gundam.
"Aye, shall we get started then, Herr Brennan?" Hans Bond sipped casually on a martini as he awaited his orders.
