Is it too late to join? lulz <.< >.> Tagline: lulz I technically quit >.< The whole lack of EF ranking and "lulz I technically quit" made it sound pretty close to what Draco got his 24 ban over. =P Oh well, Gray is Gay and Nader is serious.

No no no, it's not Gray is gay.
It's Gray r Gay.
There's a difference between Nader making an action to join the FFA, and at the same time innocently making a joke at his own expense, and Draco specifically trying to make fun of the RPG at my expense.

Are there any contests for group threads?

You still get VP for a group thread, but the contest prizes will only be rewarded to solo threads.
I have been known to give prizes to group threads that only contain like two people if they're exceptionally good.
I do not mind group RPing, it is fun and understandably so. However, in the majority of big-group RP posts, nobodies story gets furthered at all. I don't learn anything new about your character, and often the thread doesn't really go anywhere. It's just a few pages of locker room conversation until people get bored and the thread never really ends, people just stop posting in it.
Some people pretty much only post in group threads, and they're usually the people with very weak characters plotwise. If you can't think of any kind of background thread or personal dilemma or etc. that can make your character more interesting, that means you don't have a very interesting character and don't deserve to be rewarded for him, in my opinion.
Every once in a while a couple players will do a group thread where they get together and discuss a story in which something actually happens, though. Best example of this in this run is likely the Marcus/Chris thread where they ended up murdering the captured 08th MS team at the end.
Those threads are usually pre-choreographed by everyone involved, and they lay out what will happen in each post before writing the responses. They never arise from "Oh hey I started a thread, respond if you want to."

I really like the Orange Base threads we have, and they all start with Oh hey I started a thread, respond if you want to.

There have been several threads I feel like I furthered my characters through group RP's, or at least set them up better for a solo RP where something happened.

I agree that the Orange Base threads are somewhat ahead of the curve. But to be fair, you guys have like 4 people in them max and several of you are excellent RPers.

What is the current contest deadline?

The contest deadline is the contest ends when I post results and not before that, just like all of our contests have always been.
You guys really confuse me continually asking for deadlines when results aren't up.
