December 15, 0079 - Formation of Zeon Mobile Suit Unit, Eclipse
"Alright, that's the last of the food and ammunition," Bryan huffed as he loaded a crate of supplies onto the bed of a truck.
Allen made changes to the papers on his clipboard, signifying the completion of their resupply, "Good, that just leaves the final adjustments to our suits and we can start heading out..."
His voice trailed off as he turned to the open hangar and shouted up to the Dom being worked on, "How's it going up there, Dirk?" shielding his eyes with his clipboard.
"Everything is going great! There are not that many calibrations to redo on everyone's suit except yours, so we are making great time! I'm going to see if I can't tweak some of the targeting programs in the meantime!"
Nodding, Allen turned back to Bryan, scratching his head and looking around a bit at the spaceport.
"Where in the hell are Astrid and Lyle? They should have been back by now. Honestly, how long does it take to get information we already own?"
"Hmph, well if I were running things around here, we would have been mobilized by now,"
Allen grimaced as he looked to Bryan. His face showed that he was not amused, that is, until he burst out in laughter.
"HA! Well, next time I'll let you try your hand at this. I would get a kick out of it. Thanks for the laugh, Bryan, I needed that!"
Bryan scoffed and crossed his arms, disappointed in the fact that he failed to bother Allen. He was still in doubt about agreeing to let Allen lead their little unit. Dirk then approached the two, wiping the sweat off his brow, letting out a sigh.
"Whew! Can it be any hotter today? It's killing me!"
"Don't worry, Dirk," Allen joked, "Your only hope is that you keep the AC working in our suits. Otherwise you can ask the Feddies to put some holes in your unit to get some ventilation going!"
Dirk looked a bit hesitant as he rubbed the back of his head, "Yeah, I'll be sure not to slack on routine maintenance there..."
Without warning, Astrid charged behind Dirk, wrapping her arms around him, hanging onto him.
"We're back! Got everything you asked for, boss man!"
Dirk grasped his chest as he gasped for air, nearly having a heart attack from Astrid's ambush.
"It wasn't much to go off of, except large Federation movements," Lyle said calmly, shrugging as he handed the intel to Allen.
"That's great news! It's more than enough info to go off of. Now we know where the important stuff is going on. Don't want to be chasing prey that isn't there, do you, Lyle?" Allen said, chuckling to himself.
Lyle rolled his eyes, but smiled slightly as Astrid let go of Dirk, patting his shoulder.
"Look alive, Dirk. Sorry for startling ya!" Astrid said with a bright smile, "Anyways! When are we heading out, sir!?"
"Tomorrow, so enjoy a good night's rest while you can. The next morning will be Eclipse's debut on Earth. We want to make sure the Feddies get a good first impression of us, right gang?"
Bryan and Lyle smirked at each other, nodding, while Astrid and Dirk let out their usual laughter together.

Allen sat inside the cockpit of his Gouf Custom, as it lay hidden inside the jungles of Indonesia. He lifted his arms off his chest as he stood up from the pilot seat and stood up on the cockpit hatch. The sun was starting to set over the ocean, red streaming across the sky. The color sent his mind into waves of flashbacks, seeing crimson covering his squad mates, each owning their own graves.
"It isn't over yet, my friends. Not yet..."
He pulled out an old photo from his pocket, unfolding it. He looked at his friends, gone to the wind, and smiled. Then his eyes widened as he felt his heart skip a beat and a sharp pain shot through his head.
"What are you doing?"
"Don't worry, it'll be all right!"
"Chin up! We're still with ya!"
"Keep your head together..."
Allen shook his head, reaching a hand up to take a hold.
"Who?... What?... " Allen questioned, confused slightly as he looked around, "Who's there?"
He couldn't see anyone, there was nobody in this remote jungle. However, something caught the corner of his eye towards the sandy beach. There he saw faint images moving towards him. He could barely make them out, but the images looked like people. Federation troops?
"Identify yourselves!" Allen shouted.
"Identify? Bossman, I think you need to get some rest... You don't look so well..."
Allen's eyes widened as he heard the voice run through his mind.
"No... It couldn't be... Astrid?"
He squinted a little to get a better look at the figures before him, wanting to disprove what his mind was beginning to think. That's when his heart skipped another beat and the pain in his head came back once again.
"We'll be back, so very soon..."
It was then that Allen had believed that he saw and heard his squad mates. But how? There is no possible way that a normal human being could contact those that were on the other side. Could it be that he has longed to see them for so long that he has gone delirious or was it something else?
"Newty...?" Allen said before biting his tongue, cutting off the rest of the word.
"My friends, I miss you all dearly. The Federation shall pay for what they have done. They will know that Eclipse still yearns for the blood of the unjust! With your help, I can haunt them in their sleep. They will be terrified to hear our name," Allen said with a devilish grin as he folded the photo back up and placed in back inside his jacket.
