Loaction: Hangar Bay, PO Tanner's Rick Dom II
Time: 15:39
"Man, oh man. Shit is just HITTING the fan ever since Admiral Delaz opened up his mouth!" Jay said with a laugh, tinkering with firing solutions in his mobile suit's computer.
Other mechanics were abuzz in the hangar, as well. They all had their jobs to do, all just as important as the other. One would describe the scene similar to that of a beehive, or an ant hill. All the workers just buzzing around in an almost seemingly chaotically controlled way.
"I mean, we haven't gotten any immediate orders yet, but still. I guess this has been the most serious news we've gotten for a while now. It's usually just downtime and routine checks!" he said to himself, shaking his head.
Jay stood up, hitting his head on the open cockpit latch, "Ow! Shit!..." he cried out, rubbing the top of his head. Ignoring the immediate pain, he closed a circuit panel and got up, swiveling himself over into the pilot's chair. There, he made sure everything was connected properly after his little tune-up.
"Should be good to go when they need me. MAN! I cannot wait! I cannot wait to debut once again as a soldier of Zeon! I hope my parents and Captain Alfred are watching! You guys need to see what I've become! See all the shit I can do!" he yelled, almost, as he clenched his fists, "YEAH! I just cannot contain all this pent up energy! Something needs to happen soon. Me and this big guy have a lot of work ahead of us, don't we?" Jay finished, patting the armrest.
All the while Jay was talking to himself, Erin came up to the open cockpit hatch and peeked inside, "Jay? There you are," she smiled, crouching down in front of him, "How are things going over here?"
"Great! I've done some modifications to the firing algorithm with the Rick Dom II's bazooka so it should hit more targets instead of a whiff," he finished, giving her a thumbs up.
She laughed at him, "That's all you've done? I think you spend more time talking to yourself sometimes than actually getting anything done,"
"What!? No I don't! I got way more done than just that! I also corrected the error in the system where the Rick Dom II was using more fuel than needed in its maneuvers. So that should help conserve a bit. I did enough! You can check the system logs if you'd like, Miss Know-it-all," he rolled his eyes at Erin.
Erin grinned and leaned over inside the cockpit, her forehead touching his and softly whispered to him, "You're damned right I know it all. You would have been left behind ages ago as fodder to the gundams if it wasn't for my help," she grinned, "It's good to hear that you understand your place," she winked, pulling back from him, "Anyways! I was just wanting to check up on you, sunshine! Don't overwork yourself! We'll need ya in tip-top shape, especially me!" she said waving, giving him a wink before she left.
"Oh man... So scary, yet so alluring at the same time... Damn! Am I a sub?" Jay shook his head and laughed, "We'll see!... Wait..." it just hit him as he realized what she said before she left, "Damn it! She always does that to me! Why am I so dense! I never notice her hidden messages until its too late!" he grumbled as he held his head with his hands, "Ahhhh! I better not be this slow on the battlefield!"
