Something had set off the local USMP contingent. They had requested law enforcement to setup several roadblocks in order to weed out dissidence like rogues or rangers for that matter. In this instance each roadblock was manned by law enforcement and a squad of power armors from the USMP. Law enforcement was told that the USMP was there for backup but it felt more like big brother watching over your soldier. As such the law enforcement reception was cold when the 8th special operations company approached the roadblock. Out in front was Captain Altecha Chan who observed setup law enforcement had completed. “8th Special operations company reporting in,” Chan said as came to a stop before the gathering group of law enforcement personnel. Close behind the other members of the squad joined Chan. Immediately the squad saluted as one. “We are here to observe and provide support as necessary.” “Fine, just don’t get in the way.” The leader among the law enforcement spoke up. He was about to step away from Chan when the radio chatter turned up enough to catch everyone’s attention in the area. “Un-der att-ack… send help!” The grabbled voiced yelled out before it was cut off completely. Already the law enforcement personnel were checking to see who that might have been. Meanwhile Chan turned to his squad and was preparing to sortie. “Damn, it’s our patrol.” The law enforcement leader said to Chan and his squad. “We don’t have anyone here who can go...” Chan knew already what the man before him was going to ask. “Of course, we’ll go and assist your squad.” Chan said as held up his hand to stop the leader from asking more. Turning a hundred eighty degrees the 8th Special operations company moved out to assist the law enforcement just as he was told to do. However, things were not clear cut as they appeared to be. “Okay, the USMP bought it.” The leader of the law enforcement group said as turned to the rest of his personnel. “You only have a few minutes before they realize something is wrong.” No sooner did he say that something appeared on the horizon. Upon closer examination it is several Gundam power armors traveling together. “Now you owe me one, Rangers.” As each of the Gundam power armors passed the roadblock they all gave a wave to the law enforcement personnel there who returned gestured. Chan and his squad would return later empty handed as they found nothing. Results: Altecha Chan’s patrol finds “nothing”. Altecha Chan w/ Jegan Squad: +0XP and +1% Sync; 0 Repair days |

Location: Southern California It was a warm pleasant day in Southern California. Few clouds in the sky and endless sunshine abound. A lone individual rode along side a wide empty stretch of road. His head was darted side to side observing the horizon with great attention. Akira Renjiro was on the search. Since coming to the states and in particular California, Akira felt a great need to enforce his sense of justice on the world. In the past Akira had encounter various individuals needing help and others who needed to face justice once and for all. Today Akira was feeling the need to dispense justice and was egger to fight. However, things did not turn out to be what Akira had in mind. “E-excuse me sir?” An old woman spoke up to grab Akira’s attention. In his zeal to keep an eye out for rogues Akira ignored the vehicle that came up behind him filled with woman in the late seventies. She had rolled down the window as the driver slowed the vehicle down to match Akira. “Do you know the way to Disneyland?” Immediately Akira turned his attention to the woman. The lack of action and now this question prompted Akira to sigh for a moment. “Okay… you want to turn around and head north.” Akira said in a rather defeated tone. His tone did not go unnoticed with the group of women and they began to talk amongst themselves. When they finished the woman he had been conversing with spoke to him again. “You look tired,” the woman said. “You should go with us to Disneyland… Martha baked cookies for the trip even.” In the back seat Martha held up the cookies she backed with jubilation. Akira leaned back and looked side to side, checking the horizon one more time. “…okay,” Akira said as he rolled up behind the women’s car and held onto the bumper. Since using a GN powered suit makes it impossible to completely break down the armor. The car began to rumble and drive off despite the added weight. Result: Nothing encountered Akira Renjiro in Masurao: +0XP and +1% Sync; 0 Days Repair |

Location: Washington D.C. Still unfamiliar with his choice of power armor, Klein had requested a fellow law enforcement officer Grant Krauser to a sparring match. Unfortunately the last group to spar at the Washington D.C. training facility had rendered unusable for the foreseeable future. With that in mind Klein told Grant to meet him out back of the precinct for their match. Klein was the first to arrive after work and surveyed the scene. He noted what could be used for cover and escape routes in case things got heavy. “I apologize for my lateness,” Grant said as he rolled up behind Klein and already in this advanced power armor. “It took longer than expected to lose the chief in order to do this.” Klein activated his power armor and the metal frame of the Victory Gundam HEXA quickly formed over his frame. The last part to be covered was Klein’s face as the helmet formed from several different parts. “I understand,” Klein said as he performed last minute check over his power armor. “I am ready whenever you are.” Klein positioned himself waiting for Grant now. “Just don’t hit me in the face, alright?” Grant said as he distanced himself from Klein. “Sure and the same goes for me.” Klein said just before he grabbed hold of his beam rifle and brought it to bear. A quick squeeze of the trigger unleashed a particle beam that flew towards Grant. Somewhat caught off guard Grant is barely able to dodge the opening shot from Klein. Backing off, Grant unleashes several of his bits while taking aim with the Bertigo’s beam rifles mounted in the forearms. Klein immediately goes for the closest cover her could find and slides into it. Peering over the cover Klein takes aim and fires several more shots with the beam rifle at the Bertigo. Grant does his best to dodge the attacks but the narrowness of the alley prevents complete freedom of movement. One shot strikes the Bertigo in the chest and forces Grant to take a few steps back. Just as Klein is about to move to the next piece of cover he is struck in the back by a beam. Klein goes face first into the broken car he had used for cover. The dent is large enough that Klein must use his hands to free his head from the metal now in the shape of the Victory HEXA’s face. “Ugh, my face…” Klein did not understand what happened but turned to see what attacked him. Hovering behind him was a small object. The beam saber in Klein’s power armor slides into his left hand and he swings at the object slicing it into two. Peering back Klein sees the next spot he has to get to in order to carry out his plan to get into melee range of the Bertigo. Moving was easy but just before he could setup and fire on the Bertigo again another beam strikes the Victory HEXA. This time the blast hits Klein in the arm holding the beam rifle and forces him to drop it. “Another one?” Klein uses his vulcans to bring down another floating object similar to the previous one. “You do know I got like eight of those, right?” Grant replies back to Klein just as the others start to circle Klein and fire on him. The constant barrage forces Klein to fire wildly with his beam rifle and vulcans. Several of the Bertigo’s bits explode but not before giving damage in return. The barrage is enough to force Klein to the ground. Seeing Klein down, Grant goes in closer to see the results of his bits when Klein pushes against the ground with all his might and propels himself upwards. Still holding the beam rifle Klein takes aim and fires several shots at the Bertigo which attempts to evade only to be hit a couple of times. Grant opens fire with the beam rifles again and strikes the Victory HEXA’s beam shield. Which is much a surprise to Klein as it is to Grant. Recovering both Grant and Klein point their beam rifles at each other waiting to see who makes the next move. Suddenly their spar is brought to immediate close when several law enforcement vehicles and power armors descend upon them. The two immediately drop their weapons and hold up their arms in the air. Results: Tie Lucas Klein in the Victory Gundam HEXA: +4XP and +1% Sync; Repairs +2 Days Grant Krauser in the Bertigo: + 4XP and +1% Sync; Repairs +2 Days |

Location: Southern Louisiana With the constant threat of rogue Gundam power armors and other dangers in the world. One needs to keep their blades sharp and minds active. The USMP has training grounds setup across the continental United States devoted to keep their pilots at their best. In this instance Kyle Ryder and his squad squared off against Seltak Amani and his squad. The two squads are even in terms of ability and skill but the outcome of the spar would be determined by the side that wanted to win more. In the sky two Jet Dagger Ls’ observed the ground below looking for the enemy and within minutes found their marks. A group of four ZAKU Warriors moved across the marsh fields of southern Louisiana in a relaxed grouping. Two of them mounted Blaze Packs while the other two mounted Slash packs. “I’ve sighted the enemy,” Casey said as he relayed the coordinates of the enemy force to Reika and the others. Reika smirked as she used the data provided to her took aim with the hyper impulse cannon. In her kneeing position and the terrain to her advantage, Reika opened fire with the cannon. The beam flew across the field destroying any foliage along the way until struck right into the ground. The explosion sent much of the marsh into the air and onto ZAKU Warriors. “Damn, spread out and take cover!” Seltak shouted and his squad quickly responded. However, the blast forced Seltak’s group into two. Rising up to stand Reika continued to be fed combat data from the two birds in the sky while Kyle in the Sword Dagger L rushed forward. Before Kyle was a Slash ZAKU Warrior. The giveaway was the tall halberd that it carried. Still the anti-ship sword the Sword Dagger L carried was not slouch either. Richard William’s sensors were alerting him to the approaching power armor and he readied himself. “This guy is coming right at us, Donald.” Richard said as he knew the group’s communication officer was behind him. Hitting a few buttons and pushing one leaver forward the Blaze ZAKU Warrior Donald used shifted as it brought the Blaze wizard’s missile packs to bear. Pulling the trigger unleashed a volley towards Kyle but was not dead on as a beam shot from Trace’s beam carbine hit home. The damage was minimal but it had forced Donald to the ground. Richard gritted his teeth as he saw the Sword Dagger L emerge from the tall grass with the anti-ship sword already in a swing. “Donald, Richard?!” Harry yelled as he noticed the status of the two squad members. Just as he was about to turn and help them another energy blast from Reika explodes nearby but this time is enough to send Harry into the ground for cover. “This one is focused on long range,” Seltak said as he moved forward, the beam of the halberd in his hands lit up. Regaining his senses Harry joined his commander and moved towards the Launcher Strike Dagger. “Circle around and attack her from behind.” Harry’s light indicator flashed green to show Seltak that he got the message. Reika knew the gig was up and she looked to her escape exit but found it closing fast. A volley of missile fire forced her only closer to Seltak in his Slash ZAKU Warrior. “Come here!” The mono eye of the Slash ZAKU Warrior glowed brightly as Seltak swung the halberd in an arc. The swing forced Reika to defend herself but could only throw up the hyper impulse cannon in defense. The beam end of the halberd sliced the cannon in half and the following explosion knocked Reika back. Harry now emerged from the tall grass with the beam tomahawk in hand and was ready to swing down when a direct rocket shell explodes upon striking him in the right arm. Harry is sent flying into the spinning before hitting the ground. Reika looks up in the sky to see Casey already opening fire on Seltak. “Come on, don’t fail me now.” Kyle said to himself as he was locked in combat with Richard. The two of them struggled to make an inch while behind them Donald and Trace exchanged shots. Donald would leap into the air thanks to the Blaze wizard pack and fight Trace for a few moments before having to land back in the marsh. Trace on the hand continued to fly and make maneuvers in order to dodge the enemy fire. “Give it up.” Richard said as he slowly began to overpower Kyle in his power armor. “I am going to beat you.” Not long after having said that did Richard feel a sharp pain in his side. Looking down Richard saw Kyle pull back leaving what was one of the Dagger L’s anti-armor penetrators sticking out of his power armor. Before he could utter another sentence the anti-armor penetrator exploded. Immediately it forced Richard to his knees with Kyle looking down at him with an anti-ship sword pointing at him. “I suggest you give up,” Kyle said not just Richard but the rest of squad as well. Seltak looked at the status of team and knew they had been beaten. Location: Great Lakes Intel had led Clint and his squad on the search for a Gundam power armor that was reported to be in the area. Since it was a Gundam they were after, Clint had told his squad to equip heavy weapons in order to bring it. A few hours had passed since they had left Detroit and have not seen their target yet. “Come on, we have been at this for awhile now.” Jimmy said as he slowed down. The helmet folded back to reveal his face and it was obvious the time spent in the power armor had taxed the man’s endurance. Bright red and heavy breathing were the giveaway. “Relax we only have one more area to check.” Clint said as he spun around to face his squad. As a whole the group slowed down to speak to one another. Helmets opened to reveal each member’s face. “I’m sure Leola will make it worth your while if you keep going.” Clint winked at his 2nd in command that instantly turned bright red out of embarrassment. “Whhhat!?” Leola managed to yell as she tried to deny any suggestion of lewd behavior. Suddenly Dakota shot up his hand as his helmet re-formed over his face. Immediately the squad regained their composure and looked around for what he saw. “We are starting to get interference of an unknown origin,” Dakota said as he armed his electromagnetic cannon. His left hand pulled back the leaver on the side of the cannon. “Fan out and keep a look out,” Clint said as turned around and moved forward, the squad followed behind him. That is when the group caught sight of their target, a lone power armor observing Lake Michigan. The Gundam was still unaware of their presence so the Dark Falcons moved into position without altering the target. “Fire on my signal,” each squad member’s light indicator in Clint’s heads up display told him they got the message. “Fire!” Not a second later did the four Slaughter Dagger opened fire with their respective weapons. Two hyper impulse cannons and two electromagnetic cannons tore through the air and struck their mark. The resulting explosion of each weapon caused a cloud of smoke and debris to be kicked into the air which obstructed their view. “I-I think we got him,” Leola said just as she lowered her weapon slightly. However, things were not as they appeared. A pair of green eyes showed through the smoke at the group that just opened fired on it. “Damnit that was rough,” Deckard Grimm spoke as he observed the group that attacked him. He blinked a couple of times as blood trickled over his eye. Taking aim with both GN swords II Deckard opened fired. The emerging pink beams appeared before Clint could shout out to his squad. Leola was directly hit in the leg and causes her to topple backwards to the ground. Dakota side steps the other blast from the Gundam that was aimed at him and opens fire again. The shot from the electromagnetic cannon would have been dead on if the Gundam did not leap into the air. Green particle effects emanated from the Gundam’s shoulder’s as it just hovered in place. Not being effected by gravity at all. “Keep firing!” Clint shouted as he opened fired with all of the Launcher Dagger’s weapons. The Gundam began a series of maneuvers to dodge most of the attacks but several bullets riddled the Gundam and Deckard spun around. With each maneuver the Gundam rose higher and higher but the Daggers below kept firing. “They can’t fly?” Deckard said in an almost confused voice to himself. He smirked and took off further away from the group bellow firing at him. The members of Dark Falcons looked at one another before relaxing their stance and tending to Leola who couldn’t stand on her own. Blood mixed with broken metal, wire, and various fluids designed to keep power armors nimble. Result: Clint Reisz and Squad Win Clint Reisz and Squad (Slaughter Daggers): 7 XP and +3% Sync; Repairs + 1 Day Deckard Grim (00 Gundam): 5 XP and -3% Sync; Repairs + 2 Days |
