Personnel Files Fellow Officers ![]() Name: Walter Michael Rodecker Rank: Detective Age: 49 Nationality: American Height: 6' 4" Weight: 192 lbs Years of Service: 29 Department: Powered Armor Crime Personal History An old and respected detective in the DC precinct's Powered Armor Crime department, Rodecker is looked upon as the de facto leader of the small group of detectives who's primary job is to solve crimes involving powered armors. The scope of his career has given him experience in drug related crimes, homicides, theft, weapons trafficing, and more. He's typically hard on new members of the department, and seeks to push away all but the most dedicated officers. As such he often butts heads with the determined Lucas Klein, especially after the young detective breaks laws and protocol to obtain and use a Gundam as his personal powered armor. Rodecker is a good officer, but the years have taken a lot from him. He is divorced, and his children won't visit him, even after they've grown up. He drinks a little more heavily than he should, but never lets it interfere with his job. He knows retirement is drawing nearer than he'd prefer, as with his age he's beginning to slow down, and he avoids using the powered armor supplied to him at all costs, due to the strain of being too active in the field. ![]() Rodecker's Powered Armor, model Zaku I |

The officers worked the crime scene for hours, gleaning any evidence and information they could from what was left. Klein had photos of everything in the workshop, and had instructed officers to bag up some key items. Outside, Rodecker had finished up with the drug evidence. "So what do think kid?" Rodecker asked, lighting up a cigarette as they crossed back out of the police line. "They were definately building something in there. I can't help but think the drugs were just providing the finances for whatever it was. I don't have enough to say they were building a Gundam yet, but what else could it be if they were making a custom Powered Armor in there?" Klein said, turning toward the street to hail a cab as Rodecker stopped at his car. "Hey dumbass!" Rodecker yelled to Klein, "Get in the car already... can't have our detectives taking cabs everywhere, we'll be a laughingstock." The unmarked police car cruised away from the warehouse quietly, the two detectives not interested in conversation. Now and then the radio chimed in a crime in progress, but nothing they were in position to respond to. Just as the car pulled up to a stoplight, alongside a large commercial van, the radio crackled to life with an urgent call. "All units, hostage situation in progress! Five powered armor units have taken hostages in the Double B Bank on 5th and Commerce. Suspects match description of those wanted in connection with multiple murder and drug charges. Requesting SWAT and sniper teams ASAP." "Hey that sounds like our runners, lets go!" Lucas shouted, silenced by the hand of his superior. "Think before you talk, are we SWAT or snipers? Are we anywhere near 5th and Commerce? Do you even have a Powered Armor to do any good at the scene? Unless you can fit a Zaku up your ass, I'd say that's three reasons to leave it to SWAT." Rodecker calmly explained, Lucas wasn't convinced. "You've got a Zaku in the trunk right? If you don't wanna take this call fine, just let me out at the next light." "Still not thinking, it's setup for me, you can't just strap it on and expect it to work right. If you wanna go that bad, just wait till we get back to hq, and get your Zaku and go. By then the situation should be handled though." The light turned green, and traffic began to move again. The van beside them pulled ahead, and turned into their lane, allowing cars to pass the less agressively driving vehichles. Rodecker frowned as he stared ahead, something didn't sit well about this van. It's driver was following the law, but the way it moved felt... nervous. Reaching across the dashboard, he pulled an oldschool portable roof light out of the glovebox, plugged it in and sat it atop the car, flipping it on as red light danced across the surrounding cars and a siren chirped once to signal the van to pull over. "Sit tight kid, I'm gonna go have a chat." Rodecker said. Klein sat unhappily and watched as Rodecker walked calmly up to the van, knocking on the driver's window. It rolled down, and Rodecker found himself staring at a rather large gun. His reflexes were sharp for someone his age though, and he ducked away just before the first shot tore through the space he was standing in, and shredded the roof of a passing car. The van's tires spun as it roared away. Rodecker stumbled back to the car, and hit the gas before even shutting his door. "Call it in kid! You wanted action, looks like you got it!" |

Case Files Evidence Photo: Powered Armor Skeleton ![]() A photo taken from a computer screen at the warehouse crime scene. Klein takes note of the Tolro logo on the powered armor development image. As is his style, he writes his thoughts on a post-it and sticks it to the photo. Caption: "Tolro corporation, a big name in powered armor hydraulics... They claimed to have only legit clients. Based on what I found at the warehouse, it looks like I'll need to pay them another visit. Photo: Burned Blueprints ![]() A photo from the warehouse crimescene, of some hastily burned blueprints found in the vicinity of the area where a powered armor seems to have been built. Klein takes an interest in the Monotone Mouse corporate logo on the blueprint. Caption: Monotone Mouse, best known for their efforts to prevent the collapse of space exploration. They stay well afloat on construction work, but their financial stuggles may be enough to tempt them into less than legal contracts. |

A short while later, the taxi cab rolled to a stop outside a large warehouse, yellow tape barred the way as a few officers kept gawkers and media at bay. Paying his fare, Lucas tossed his cigarette on the ground, grinding it out underfoot as he lifted the tape over his head and showed his badge to the nearby officer. "Oh great... Rodecker beat me here." He thought with a sigh, walking straight up to the older detective. "It's about time you got here Klein, where's your car?" Rodecker asked, the annoyed veteran's voice was a mix of dissapointment and sarcasm, making it hard to know whether he was angry or simply riding the younger cop's case. Klein had a headache from the crash, and didn't care to try and figure his superior's mood out. "Wrapped around your suspect at the moment, you got any aspirin?" Klein asked, getting a sigh and a negatory nod in response. "Anyway, what did I miss?" Rodecker led Klein into the warehouse, pointing left and right as he spoke. "Believe it or not, looks like this was a drug deal, at least at first..." He said, pointing at a pile of cocaine that had been crushed out of it's packaging during some sort of brawl. "...looks like it went bad though, that or a rival or vigilante or something crashed the party. In any case, we wound up with five dead, and another five we've gotta run down... well I guess four now." Rodecker said, noting the arrest which cost Klein his car. Stopping at a partitioned off section of the warehouse, Rodecker turned to face Klein and spoke more quietly. "Like I said, we thought it was just a drug deal gone sour, until we looked in here." He said, sliding the plastic covering out of the way and stepping inside to reveal a work area of sorts, filled with masses of machine parts and scattered remains of blueprints, burned beyond recognition. Without a word Klein slipped a small camera from his pocket and began photographing the parts and scraps of paper. Maybe something here would give him a clue as to who was building whatever it was they were building in here. Rodecker stepped back quietly as the young detective went to work. While the old man didn't much care for the ex-soldier that had been placed in his precinct, he couldn't help but respect Klein's work ethic. Walking back to the doorway, he paused and spoke. "I'll leave this stuff to you, but don't bother with the evidence outside, the drug deal is my investigation." Rodecker said gruffly, resuming his trademark scowl and leaving the room. Outside, he made his way back to the scene of the drug deal and murders, only to pause at the sight of an officer popping an aspirin. "Hey, you got any more of those?" He asked. "Uh... yeah, new bottle." "Klein was whining about a headache, do me a favor and go shut him up eh?" |

The harsh coastal climate beat down on highway 395 as a grey sedan cruised through traffic, just slightly above the speed limit. Reclined in the driver's seat, Lucas Klein lazily maneuvers the large car into the passing lane. He'd been in DC less than a week, and this was the fourth crime scene he was called to. He couldn't be bothered to hurry though, since as usual the suspect had already fled the scene. His mind began to slip away to a memory he wasn't fond of, rain, blood, and a metal adversary called 'Gundam'. Before he fell completely into retrospect, his radio caught his attention. "All units, suspect sighted moving north on 12th. Suspect is foot-mobile in powered armor." "Dispacth can I get a description?" Lucas asked, eager to do whatever he could to bring another perp down. "Suspect powered armor is a Powered GM type, orange and white. Zaku squad is in pursuit, but can't keep up. Be advised, suspect is armed and dangerous." "That's ok," Klein said, "I'm just gonna trip him up a bit." Flipping on the hidden lights and siren, his car accelerated and forced it's way off the highway and onto H street. Traffic was getting out of his way nicely, so Lucas floored it, signalling the Zaku squad on the radio. "This is 719, en route to 12th street, can I get a location on the suspect?" "This is Zaku unit 3, he just jumped G street! Bastard's got some serious horsepower..." "Good, I'll head him off at 12th and H, get ready to take him down." Lucas replied, approaching the intersection at full speed, and smiling as the suspect opted not to jump over this street. With a hard jerk on the handbrake and a rake of the steering wheel, the heavy car slid into a spin, swinging it's tailend like a hammer into the fast-moving powered armor. The sudden crash embedded the Powered GM in the rear quarter-panel of the car, it's pilot dazed and motionless. Lucas chewed on a mouthfull of airbag as he heard the Zakus approach, silently thanking the metal hand which punched through his windshield and ripped away the airbag. "You ok detective?" The Officer asked, offering a hand to the dizzied driver as his allies arrested the pinned suspect. "Ugh... I only meant to trip him... guess I'm takin a cab to the crime scene." Lucas muttered, lighting up a cigarette and hailing a taxi. |

I'd like to change my reservation from Gundam Alex to Victory Gundam HEXA. Note that HEXA is functionally identical to the original Victory Gundam and thus would have access to all the same weapons(even though MAHQ doesn't list the Vulcan Cannon and Javelin). |
