"GET BEHIND ME!" Lucas shouted at the Nemo squad, raising his elbows and engaging both beam shields to create some cover, while spraying head vulcan rounds at the walls and floor to kick up dust and debris and foul enemy vision and targetting, if only briefly. Nemos leaned around the beam shields attempting to return fire, but unfortunately Lucas' vulcans had obscurred their vision as well. "Don't waste your ammo, just fall back the way we came in-Argh!" Lucas yelled, a stray beam hitting the weak point of his right arm's shield emitter, flailing the arm back and sending a shock of pain that nearly stumbled the man. The sudden dissapearance of half their cover made two Nemo's easy targets, each taking a beam to the chest and collapsing. Their allies quickly grabbed them and dragged them toward the door, trying desperately to keep Klein's left shield between them and everyone else. Cursing angrily, Lucas fought against the pain of a potentially dislocated elbow and raised his beam rifle, the HEXA's advanced sensor unit picking actual targets out of the debris, but his own intentions overriding the urge to strike back at those firing at him. With careful aim adjustment, he began firing at anything in the room that could further reduce visibility, knowing many of the officers with him simply did not have the armor to stand and fight against so many targets at once. He didn't have the prescence of mind to hope that making everyone unable to see might also cause them to stop firing. With each shot he took a step back, and soon found himself at the door they'd entered through. "Krauser!" He shouted, "Unless you think we can arrest them all, we should probably regroup!" |

"Ugh never the easy way!" Lucas complained as he ran full tilt in the direction the rogue seemed to escape in. He switched his sensors through the various thermal, motion-sensing-overlay, and signal-wave-tracing modes, but came up dry on all attempts. His futile search led him deeper into the compound, and after a while he began to search for evidence as well as the rogue he was after. It was obvious someone had ransacked the place before the signal was set, removing most of the valuable evidence, but Klein was beginning to notice something odd. "This stuff's too neat, someone already searched here...." He thought, noting that the papers he was looking through had been sorted as though someone had already picked them up searching for information. "...I should look further in, there's nothing left that can help us figure anything out around here." Cautiously, Lucas made his way further from his allies, and deeper into the unknown labrynth of the compound. |

Klein held his beam rifle to the unknown rogue. It wasn't the Bertigo clone or the other Victory, but this man was still dangerous, and still under arrest. "Do me a favor and come quietly, sure it's possible that you could escape the six of us, but think of the odds that you'll run into the next room and find it full of Knights or USMP." He said, noting the constant radio chatter from the Law Enforcement temporary command center outside. It seemed everyone was looking for something in this place, but this wasn't the rogue Lucas was out to find. "Now, personally I think you're lucky we found ya, cause the Knights and the Army? They'd just kill ya. So howabout you lose the armor and we talk about this somewhere a little safer?" |

Lucas Klein Victory Gundam HEXA Law Enforcement Klein's cruiser rolled to the Law Enforcement staging area, an officer approached him as he stepped out. Flashing his badge the officer waved Klein on, stopping him only to make a suggestion. "Uh Detective?" He said, "You should really put your armor on, we have no idea what's about to go down in there." "Good advice." Lucas replied, letting the HEXA form up around him and stretching a bit as he assumed an armored appearance. The officer jumped back in shock. "HANDS WHERE i CAN SEEM 'EM NOW!" He shouted, pointing a largely useless .38 at Klein, who simply shrugged. "Hey now, don't get all jumpy on me. Here, go run my badge number and I'll wait here." Lucas said, handing the shaky officer his badge and retracting his helmet armor in hopes of calming the man. As the man ran over to the nearest computer, Klein looked at the compound, thinking. "Well I guess that just makes it all the more likely the guys who hit us in D.C. are involved..." |

Rodecker rammed the van twice, but the patrol car had little effect against such a large vehichle. Klein had radioed in the chase, and was trying to shoot the van's tires, but couldn't get a clear shot as it weaved through traffic. "We're gonna need a bigger gun, drive!" Rodecker shouted, swiftly reclining his seat and rolling into the rear of the car. Klein jumped over to the driver's seat and raised the seatback, weaving to avoid a spray of bullets from the van's passenger as he yelled back at Rodecker. "You're not seriously gonna try to put that thing on in the car are you?" He asked, looking back for a brief moment to catch Rodecker hauling the Zaku armor over the folded backseat. "Just shut up and don't lose him!" Rodecker odered, in surprisingly little time, he was wearing the upper half of his armor, and working on getting the lower half on. Klein looked back again, only to see an old, olive drab Zaku demanding he pop the trunk. As the van slid and fishtailed across oncoming traffic, the patrol car clung to it's tail, the aging green armor climbing out to stand in the trunk of the car, gripping the roof through the rear driver-side window. Flipping on the onboard loudspeaker, Rodecker spoke. "Stop your vehichle or we'll stop it for you!" He said, a gunshot pinging off his left shoulder told him they didn't plan to stop. Raising the 10.5mm machinegun, Rodecker took careful aim and fired a series of bursts. Bullets ripped through the bumper of the van, one or two reaching the rear tires, shredding them. The van pitched and swerved, but couldn't regain control and slid into the curb, rolling twice before coming to a halt on it's side. The driver and passenger lept from the van in rather odd looking powered armors, but chose to flee rather than stand and fight the lone Zaku. "Damn it, we'll never catch them without backup, and things are pretty tied up with that hostage situation..." Rodecker said, stepping off the car to check the van for any additional perps. Ripping the rear door off the van, he leans inside gun first, then suddenly steps back in shock. "Hey kid, you'd better come take a look at this." Rodecker said, motioning Klein to a skeletal frame of a powered armor, mounted on a rack that seemed to have extended out of a large case. Looking down, they could see a variety of weapons in the case, along with a laptop labled 'HEXA initial setup'. |

Those of us cops who are in the Appalacian Territory, who's all jumping on that mission? I for one will, but it'd be nice if we could get some group rp going or something. I guess post here if you're down for the mission, and we can also use this thread to plan anything we need to plan for it. |
