Name: Hiromi Copress MPA: Type Z Mass Produced Side: Law Enforcement The truck rumbled along the old highway, years of tax payer neglect beginning to show. The sun was hot and the dust was plentiful, but fortunately the mood was light. Ian's squad sat in the back of the pickup, relaxing as much as the bumpy ride would allow. "I find it strange," JP said, that the law enforcement in this country is not capable of providing its officers vehicles..." Ian shrugged. "We're only loosely affiliated with the Government nowadays in a lot of areas. Which means, sadly, the budget isn't quite as fat as it used to be. Lucky Hiromi and I are on good terms with some of the locals here, and the Rangers appreciate some non Government controlled law." Indeed, while they'd lucked out on hitching a ride with an old Government C130, they'd still been faced with a fairly long hike to the Law Enforcement rendezvous point, fortunately one of the locals, an obvious supplier to the local Rangers who controlled this region, had been more than willing to give them a lift. This told them the Ranegrs were also likely headed out that way. Not that Hiromi cared, he was merely interested in a job with some sense of the unknown involved, Washington had been fun, but being closer to the West Coast again felt more natural. Amber reached out and banged on the cab. "Hey old timer, got an ETA?" The leathery face of the driver peered out, he knew these roads well enough to take his eyes of them every now and then. "Give it about an hour and a half missie." She nodded, then sighed as she slumped down. "These mods are gonna hold up right Hiro?" Hiromi frowned, she'd only taken to using his nickname recently, something normally only Ian did, and it felt... odd still. Brushing it aside he shrugged. "Should, just some basic shielding of the joints, should keep the grit and sand out better, still going to need more maintenance than usual so keep em seathed if at all possible." "Alright," Ian said, "lets all run a quick check on our gear, it'll be the last one before we stop so we can just relax the rest of the way. After that we'll plot our next move." |

"You sure about this Ian?" "Relax Hiro, I've already cleared it." The squad was stacked up near an entrance a short distance away from the main Police entry point. It had been Ian's idea to delay their entry by a minute, allowing the main force to attract attention, allowing them to take a different point of entry. JP had supported it, and so had the Captain in charge of the joint operation. This approach would allow them to flank any potential hostiles the main force met in addition in cutting down one possible point of escape. Hiromi had his doubts, as there were a lot of unknowns for this whole operation to begin with(for one no one seemed to have a clear ultimate objective yet) without adding more, however he reminded himself of Ian's military training, some of the instincts he'd developed then had never truly faded, thats why he was team leader. Plus Hiro had known him for years, and trusted him pretty well. "Execution time boss, lets get to it," JP said. Wordlessly he sliced the lock cleanly in half with a beam saber, and pushed in. They quickly stormed the room beyond, a lobby by the look of it, careful to move as quickly and quietly as possible. Their sensors were doing their job and they cleared the room in seconds. Motion sensors were detecting movement from ahead, however it was anyone's guess where they were coming from, as no one had building layouts. They quickly moved into the hallway. JP and Ian took point, Sabers out, they'd been MS pilots longest, and while Hiromi was already pulling even with JP in Synch rate he still didn't have the pure experience in close quarters combat that JP or Ian did. He and Amber hung back slightly ready to provide ranged support, their large Beam Rifles at the ready. "Stay sharp everyone," Ian said, "my gut tells me thing'll get interesting sooner rather than later..." With those words he smoothly pushed open the door in front of them and they rushed further into the complex. |

This was rapidly becoming a nightmare. That though, among other flashed through Hiromi's mind, when he could aford the luxury of one at least. The enclosed area, rapidly becoming moreso due to the press of armored bodies, had reduced most ranged weaponry to nearly useless, it was a melee affair now. His whole world was the moment, blocking a another beam weapon here, trying to work a stab or slash through a guard, his IFF was still working at least, so he was reasonably sure he wasn't trying to kill other cops or even the Ranger Mobile Armors, but he couldn't be sure, and frankly it couldn't be helped until after this melee was over. The three green lights on his HUD told him his teammates were all still alive, though in what condition he couldn't be sure, and that they were somewhat close by. They were all busy in their own fights however, each effectively on their own. The mobile suit he was fighting, a Gundam of some kind if the V Crest was anything to go off of, suddenly gained a momentary advantage and sent him stumbling back, a glowing furrow in his armor. Grunting he brought his saber back up narrowly avoiding decapitation. "This is bad," he said to himself. Just then another Mobile Suit barreled into his attacker, knocking him sprawling. He took a look at his rescuer," Bout time," he grunted. "Your welcome," Amber called back. There wasn't time to simply hold a conversation however as the Gundam was quickly back on them, but now it was two on one, and the advantage was reversed as they drove it back towards the wall. |
