The sun was beating down on him, the wide brim of his straw hat shading the back of his neck. Sweat beaded down his face, falling to gather in the fibers of his shirt, the moisture attaching the cloth tight against his wetted skin. Farming was hard work that only real men could do day in and day out. For as hard as it was it was equally rewarding physically, spiritually, and – Scarth pocketed another ill-gotten bond - financially. “Hey, Scarth, yer not breedin' today?” An old farmer passing by questions and receives a shake of Scarth's head in response. “Then what'ya farmin'?” “the rich merchants that attempt to subjugate honest folks like us farmers. I'm taking back what is rightfully ours,” he proclaims while hitting the prone body of Lindon with the side of his boot. “Well shoot, that sounds like a right hollerin' goot time to me it does! I've got a farmin' pig that could make that go a lot better. No need to dirty your hands or nothin'. I'll be right back wit'da pig. You wait 'ere, I reckon you'll enjoy this.” Later that day... “Does the pig usually do that?” “Yup.” “How is this better?” “I like to watch.” “Right...” Scarth took a few long steps away from the old farmer.
