As Max Bogart was contemplating his long life and the failures of his commanding officers, including their intention to use him as a scape goat the Coordinator resolved to give Command the one fingered salute "Navigation, change heading.." Max said with a grin as he handed his Navigator a piece of paper with the new heading. All across the Catamaran those loyal to Max rose up against those who were not and tossed them off the ship in life boats as the Catamaran steamed as far out of American Union Territory as she could.

A week later the ship would make port at a paradise like Island, Max Bogart having converted the Catamaran into a luxury get away living space slash bar, with christmas lights strung along the ship. The Union wouldn't be able to make it out this far to find him and the Japanese wouldn't waste the effort. The weapons of the Catamaran were dismantled and sold to passing smugglers as Max Bogart settled into his new comfortable civilian life.
