Background: Jherek Harkness was born in the British Isles but the Harkness family did not stay long after that. Only a year after Jherek was born did the family move to the American Union. Jherek’s mother moved the family because of her employment in an international corporation. Everything was fine until the year Jherek turned fourteen. In that year Jherek lost both of his parents in a tragic accident. With no relatives in the American Union it was decided that Jherek would return to the British Isles to live with his uncle and family.
While initial troubles do appear Jherek manages to finish his education without much trouble. Jherek graduates from university and begins looking for a job. A unique position in the army grabs his attention and he decides to enlist. On Jherek’s first tour his entire squad is wiped out as the Japanese Empire unleashes the first ever mobile suit, the Zaku. While it takes him weeks to return Jherek is able to describe the events of the battle in vivid detail. Jherek even notes several observations of the Zaku mobile suit that catch the attention of certain people in the army. Ultimately command does not return Jherek to the front lines but instead to work on the development of the European Empire’s version of the mobile suit.
Serving as a test pilot Jherek pilots several different mobile suits over the years. However, with the open hostilities between the worlds’ super powers Jherek has been upgraded to combat status. Currently Jherek is piloting the experimental mobile suit code named Duel Gundam.
