Name: Faisal as-Senussi, Crown Prince of the house of Senussi Gender: M Age: 27 Height: 5' 10'' Weight: 160 Eye Color: Black Hair Color: Black
Faction: The European Empire Division: Reichsgard, Officer, Italian Colonial Army Ship: Petrie Rank: O-2 Primary Arm: Lee-Enfield Rifle No.4 Mk I Sidearm: Luger P08 pistol
Background: The house of as-Senussi descends from Sayyid Muhammad ibn Ali as-Senussi, founder of the Senussi order - a Sufi/Salafist military-religious organization. Their connection with the European Empire begins with the battle of Al-Jaghbub, where Cyrenaican nationalists under Idris al-Sanusi aided the British in their assault on the Italian garrison at Al-Jaghbub, center of the Senussi order. Hungry for power and armed by the Italians, Idris' nephew Hasan as-Senussi revolted against Idris - seizing control of the Cyrenaican nationalists and turning the defense of Al-Jaghbub into a counterattack. The widespread tendrils of the Senussi order engulfed North Africa, and soon cities were revolting from Tunisia to Benghazi.
Still unsatisfied with his level of power, Hasan as-Senussi visited Europe himself, unsuccessfully convincing his partners his forces could handle a mechanized brigade. Instead, the Senussi order was supplied with thousands of captured Lee-Enfield rifles, and came to be known as dangerous marksmen. With this grand arming, Hasan as-Senussi evolved his Senussi order fighters into an authoritarian regime sponsored by Italy spanning in all Italian-controlled North Africa, declaring himself King Abdullah as-Senussi.
He was well represented of El-Alamein, raiding British supply convoys with relentless enthusiasm. During the German capture of Cairo, he came to arms with the militant orders from Al-Alzhar - who while sympathizing with the Germans held great rivalries with al-Jaghbub. Under a German agreement, King Abdullah as-Senussi relented to only rule as far east as Cyrenaica under Italian sponsorship. His heavy handed regime relies on the use of secret police, propaganda, and a heavily disciplined royal guard. In the European Empire's rush to equip themselves with mobile suits, he successfully lobbied to be supplied Petrie capital ships and GINN mobile suits - not the most modern, but a step above anything received before. The Senussi order is pervasive, a secret society that includes not only wide swaths of Italian Colonial troops, but also with sympathizers in the Italian regular army as well.
His son, Crown Prince Faisal as-Senussi, has been trained in the Italian Military Academy in Rome and is Captain of the Royal Guard. He commands from a heavily customized Petrie-class battleship, with red carpets, air conditioning, a private bar, his nine wives, an indoor movie theater and swimming pool. This has severely diminished the size of the barracks for pilots and soldiers. The GINNs stationed aboard are a Royal Custom - in many ways identical to a standard GINN, but ornately styled. His direct combat training is with the Lee-Enfield rifle, standard issue in the Italian Colonial Army, which he has never fired in anger. During crackdowns or armored assaults, he often takes personal command - showing a degree of basic understanding, but is by no means professional. His leadership commands a lot of respect for fear of his father, along with hopes of patronage when he finally ascends the throne. Personality: Magnanimous, authoritarian, stoic. Overly concerned with performing morally good actions.
