Jack Verse examined the large footprints in the mud before hi s GiNN. A mobile suit for sure, likely an American one based on how blocky the foot was. He had his wingman patrolling high in the sky for any signs of hostile units, though neither of them had found anything thus far. The tracks, Jack noted, led away from Jack's position, heading north towards Berlin.
"The base must be warned!" Jack thought, drawing his suit's beam magnum. "But what if the tracks are old?"
The GiNN Assault Type hurried to follow the tracks, splattering mud with each step. The tracks began growing fresher and fresher, a sure sign that the mobile suit that made them was close! Jack reported to his squadmate, alerting him to the situation before continuing to track the suit down.
Minutes later, Jack found his quarry, a bulky, orange-and-black striped mobile suit, similar to the Americans' Tieren. The GiNN lunged out of hiding, Jack remembering how formidable the suit could be in close combat, and quickly tackled the mobile suit.
"In the name of the European Empire, you are my prisoner!" Jack ordered. "Surrender and no harm shall come to you!"
"What do you think you're doing?" the suit's pilot demanded. "I am not an American!"
"Then identify yourself!" Jack ordered, aiming his magnum in the suit's blocky face.
"My name is Zair Su'tassam, crown prince of Saudi Arabia and heir to its throne," the pilot answered, forcing the GiNN off. "This Anf was a gift from your emperor and I have his permission to be coming through here!"
Moments later, CGuEs bearing the emblem of the Imperial Royal Guard barged onto the scene, aiming their machineguns at Jack's GiNN while swarming around the tiger-striped Anf.
"State your identity!" the leader of the CGuEs demanded, lining up a shot on Jack's cockpit.
" Soldat Jack Verse of the Test Korps," he reported, saluting. "I'm on assignment to investigate signs of possible enemy activity."
"His story checks, sir," one of the other CGuEs reported. "Here's a copy of his orders."
The commander looked at the orders for barely a minute before dismissing them.
"Carry on then, Soldat," the leader said before turning to the Anf. "Are you alright, Your Highness?"
"No thanks to you," Zair growled. "Lead me back to the city at once and I shall not report this breech of my safety to my father or to your emperor."
"Of course, Your Highness, right away."
The CGuEs immediately formed an honor guard around the Anf, leading it back to Berlin while keeping a close eye on Jack. The test pilot simply shook his head and began returning to base.
