Personality:
Ethan is a man a few words and prefers to let his actions do the talking. In battle he tends to come off as cold and calculating, seemingly caring little for the killing he is taking part in. Outside of battle though he appears more reserved and caring even if he doesn't always show it well.

Fighting style:
To get the easy stuff out of the way Ethan avoids melee at all costs because he has no melee weapon. He generally tries to maintain a decent flight speed and hit his target with a decent bit of fire. Usually a few missiles and some chain rifle fire. Hit and runs, dog fighting, ambushes all tactics he uses in battle. He doesn't try to avoid fighting mind you, but if its possible to attack the enemy by surprise so they have less chance to shot back, well who would try for that?
