Introduction

This RPG is set 50 years after the events of Legend of Dragoon. In that time, humans have made peace with Winglies, Dart is the only hero from the game to be alive, and peace has been established. That was up until a few months ago...

The first sign something terrible was going to happen was that the Winglies migrated to a place unknown, like they knew something that humans didn’t. A week later, a man calling himself Lord Lecam came rampaging through the valley, with his army called the Xemos Empire. The few local militia’s that dared to fight back were utterly exterminated. The XE quickly established an iron grip on the land. Dart, knowing the XE would eventually kill everyone in the land, started a band of small freedom fighters, called the Gaia Revolutionary Army. The GRA are outnumbered, but they have an advantage that could one day be the XE’s downfall: they have knowledge of Dragoons!

Dragoons are humans with dragon armor, who have fantastic power. While almost every GRA member knows of these awesome beings, Lecam refuses to accept their existence. While the GRA uses magic to fight, the XE fight with Knights and a distinct numerical superiority. Only a few XE members dare to believe in dragons and the power of Dragoons, which gives the GRA hope that they may one day have the power to crush the XE.

WERE OFF TO HUNT THE DRAGON
WERE OFF TO HUNT THE DRAGON

The hobo bandwagon was speeding through the plains, looking for one of the two red dragons sighted in the Outpost Tiarra area. Matthew was driving, Harabec was looking for the dragon, while Metandro was completely and absolutely drunk in the backseat, singing 100 bottles of beer on the wall while playing mettalica music with a mandolin. The three intrepid adventurers had left the necromancer Nazguul back at the fort, fearing that he would be killed by the dragon. It had already been two days, and not only had they not found the dragon yet, but they were almost out of alcohol.

Metandro:34 BOTTLES OF BEER ON THE WALL! 34 BOTTLES OF BEER!
Harabec: We better find that dragon soon, I don’t wanna be around when Met there runs out of booze.
Matthew: I don’t particularly like him when he has booze. Suddenly a great, winged beast flew over their heads.
Harabec: THERE IT IS! Turn the caravan around, quick!

The Hobo Bandwagon quickly did a 180 degree turn, and started following the dragon, Harabec started driving, while Matthew and Metandro climbed on top of the canvas roof of the caravan.

Harabec: That thing is too high in the air, how are we supposed to attack it?
Metandro, I dunno, we got to get it lower somehow *hic*.
Harabec: Matt, you said you knew how to throw your lance right?
Matthew: Yeah, that’s a good idea.

As the Hobo Bandwagon sped across the plains at over 20 miles an hour, the 2 warriors on top of it prepared for battle. As soon as they got close enough to the flying dragon, Matthew threw his dragon light lance, piercing its left wing. The wound didn’t do much to such a massive thing, but forced it to drop about 30 feet of altitude, until it was right on top of them, within arms reach. Only then did they see how massive the thing was, bigger then the 4 horse caravan in fact, and with a great red head, and eyes like burning rubies.

It made a quick slash at Matthew, who jumped back just in time, but forgot he was on top of the canvas, and fell over the side, grabbing onto the canvas at the last second. Metandro yelled a fearsome dwarven war cry and cut off the dragons hand with his dwarven battle axe. The dragon winced in pain, and flew off to the left, Harabec quickly followed it.

Harabec: Oh no you don’t you bastard, I’m not going to lose you after all this searching.

They pulled up alongside the dragon, so that the caravan was on the opposite side of the dragon this time. Metandro made another swing with the axe, but the dragon parried with his tough claw. Matthew, still on the side, could see the dragons back from where he was, and made a great leap, landing on the beasts back. He started to roll off, but quickly unsheathed Luciender and stabbed right into the things side, holding on from there. The Dragon was unscathed though, and now took his wrath out on Harabec, biting at him with his long neck. Harabec kept his nerv and shot the beast right in the eye with his wrist mounted crossbow. The Beast lashed out in pain, knocking over the caravan. It then stood on the ground and started fuming at the mouth. Metandro and Harabec were stunned for the moment, and could do nothing. Matthew saw his chance, and started climbing up to the dragons neck, using Luciender as a climbing spike, injuring the dragon all the way. Right when the dragon was about to breath fire on the caravan and totally destroy it, Matthew jumped in the air, took luciender out of the dragons back, and made one great swing, cutting off the beasts head. Both Matthew and the dragon fell straight backwards, and hit the ground, The dragon falling on Matthew, injuring him horribly. The dragon was dead however, and the Bandwagon was safe.

Metandro: Well, *hic*, that wasn’t so hard
Harabec: Lets see, what did the myth say, boil your weapons in red dragon blood and they turn magic? vMatthew: CAN YOU TWO GET THIS THING OFF OF ME!

Outcome: Quest succeeded
Matthew: instant healing
Harabec: no damage
Metandro: no damage
Hobo Bandwagon: turned over but ok

Championship Battle: Matthew vs. Anyika vs. Metandro

The final battle of the tournament takes place at night. The arena has been changed so that it resembles a demonic temple rather than a recreational death pit. A shrine to an evil god stands in the background, the corpses of the fallen lay at his feet, their blood seeping unto his stony skin, coating it with blood.

Matthew steps into the arena and immediately pulls his coat tighter around himself as a chill sets over him. Drawing his crossbow, Matthew breaks into a run, determined to win or die trying.

Anyika, barely alive, stood and charged Matthew, her naginata aimed directly at his chest. Matthew pushed the weapon out of the way and delivered a striking blow to Anyika, sending her flying

Meanwhile, Metandro saunters along, his eyes slowly following the dim silhouette that was his opponent. The brilliant light from Matthew's sword catches his eye as he begins towards his foe.

Matthew hears Metandro's approach and aims into the darkness. He lets his bolt fly, ripping past Metandro's cheek, drawing blood. Scowling angrily, he runs faster and harder. Matthew draws his sword and their weapons clash. Matthew swings high and rips a deep gouge in Metandro's armor.

Metandro swings hard and slashes Matthew's stomach, hurling blood about the arena as their battle continues. Metandro drives Matthew back, more and more as the crippled man crawls away.

Soon, the approach the demon shrine and Matthew stands. He hurls himself forward, his blade driving deep into Metandro's stomach. He screams out in agony and hurls his hammer, demolishing the shrine. The rocks fall, slamming into the ground and Metandro steps back and Matthew is crushed.
