0079/11/01 On November First, year zero zero seventy nine of the Universal Century calender, the Earth Federation had finally finished their preperations for what was at this time the largest coordinated terrestrial offensive in the history of warfare. A combined offensive out of Britain, Turkey and India marked the start of what was to become one of the most decisive moments of the war, equivalent to Operation British and the battle of Lourm. Six seperate Federation fleets moved in to assault Zeon territory in North America and Central Asia simultaniously, with the bulk of the force moving on Odessa from Constantinople, and secondary fleets moving in on the fortress from behind. Duchy resistance, weakened by previous pushes into North America and Central Asia, provided little resistance for the Federal assault groups, and Big Trays and Himalayas moved into enemy territory relatively unscathed. Some small border patrols made up a small perimeter line at the edge of the Black Sea, but they were quickly destroyed by the might of the Federations artillery and air power. In North America, the 237th Provisional Fleet, just one day after their heroism had pushed Federation timelines back in the American sector, had been recalled to Odessa. The 86th Independant Fleet, responsible for pushing the Federation off the mainland in Asia some time before, left its patrolling position west of Odessa to deal with a Federation interdiction force in the Ural mountains, and the Black Tri-Stars, the gem in the Duchy's Asian defense line, were held up by an unexpected ambush. The Federation had put its full might into taking these objectives, Autonomous battlegroups moving to join both the operations coming out of Constantinople and those going into North America. The RX-78-1, recently recovered from the near disastrous assault at Seattle, had been given a new test pilot and joined General Revils own battlegroup. Maurice Jackson, responsible for the taking of Archangelisk only one week before, had been moved to assist Corini in the capture of the eastern seabank of North America. Meanwhile, Daren Sanders, the man responsible for the Federation movements in North Africa and the destruction of the African mining operation, had delivered a sizeable fleet to the front lines, making the push into Central Asia even easier than expected. Even the now famous White Base, called the Trojan Horse by the Duchy, had made an appearance, moving in to attack through the enemies rear line. They had been refuelled and re-armed by Matilda Ajans Medea support wing, and now a proper fleet, were moving to assault Duchy supply lines while the main defense force was tied into defense of the fortress at Odessa. White Base, crewed largely by inexperienced military personnel and civilians, had proved a much greater asset to the Federation than anyone had expected. However, some of their crewmembers were volatile, and it remained to be seen whether or not they would retain their current stroke of victorious luck. The following few days would mark a decisive change in the momentum of the war. Would the Federation be able to turn North America and Central Asia into new battlegrounds, destroying the valuable supply lifeline that was still moving to the colonies despite Federation blockades? Would Zeon manage to hold its ground, thereby taking the fangs out of the Federation war machine? Only time would tell.
