Technical and Historical Notes

The oldest machine in the Earths Federal Forces, the Mongoose had already been decomissioned in favor of the Fly Manta fighter bomber when the war broke out. Armed only with nose vulcans and a single anti-tank cannon on one wing, the Mongoose packed a punch, but poor maneuverability, poor firing arcs and poorer sensors made it altogether inadequete for fighting mobile suits. Some Mongooses are now in the hands of private investors, and a few remain in EF service, but it has altogether been pushed aside by the changing times.
