Building bridges
Tael simply smiled, turned to the radio "Operation Mainframe is go."

Afterwards he picked up a red, rubber, air filled ball and left the building to pick up where he left off earlier.

Start of a blood feud
Saigo slowly poured the small vial of poison onto a handkerchief and placing it at his waist he slowly crawled through the underbrush until he was in sight of his prey, once again, the Tragnix. Due to his recent hunts, Tragnix around the area had taken to posting sentries where their children were feeding, seldom had they been hunted by the local populace, every now and again an assassin would hunt one for their horn but it was seldom, this serial killer had them spooked.

The Arisaka clicked slightly as Saigo loaded the bullet into the chamber, the sentry, a strong male perked up its ears along with the rest of the herd, and the shot rang out from Saigo’s rifle hitting the Tragnix slightly to the right of its intended placement. All the deer scattered, including the wounded one. Saigo slowly rose from his hiding place to begin the long process of tracking his prey from where it was wounded to where it would die but as he rose, a spry young Tragnix dove in from his peripheral, silhouetted by the sun. Saigo drew his Nanbu and fire repeatedly at the creature, doing nothing but winging it as it tacked him into a nearby tree, impaling its antler in his side.

Saigo yelled in great pain as the back of his head slammed against the tree trunk, much of his equipment also pinned, the Tragnix writhed about widening the wound as Saigo stabbed it slower, and slower until his arm went limp.

Taking the attacker for dead the young Tragnix, now with a large scar over its left eye, rejoined its group. They mourned over their shot comrade, departing as Brotherhood personnel came to assist Saigo.

Outcome: Hunt Successful
Saigo: 5EXP, Wounded

"That is the thought, we believe the Brotherhood's perspective on whatever might be there would be useful." Tael said unwrapping a candy bar and taking a bite. Only hastily remembering to offer Saigo one as well. "I'm really not sure why the techs are so sure it's a portal down there but, I can't have a rumor going around that such a place might lead back home. Hundreds would flock to their slaughter."

Concussions
“You scum!” Len said cradling a precious thing in the Gravion’s palm. Missiles flew around him and Reavers peppered him with Gatling fire, Len tried fighting with auxiliary weaponry but couldn’t maneuver past a few staggered steps with the girl in the palm of his hand, it was the best he could do to shield her from further harm.

It had started as retaliation for the recent raids against Khaotic citizens, the plan was for the Gravion to perform shock and awe while his comrades neared the area however, the plan was not to be. On entering the area Len found a horrifying sight, a large group of Berserkers gathered around a lone figure, fresh blood an entrails of several others littering the ground, roaring and chanting they were harassing a young woman, not past fifteen years of age, he clothes were shredded and she looked severely beaten. Upon seeing the Gravion they turned their attention to him affording him an opportunity to rescue the girl who now sat, sobbing uncontrollably in his hands.

“We’re here.” A voice in Len’s head sounded off followed by the decapitation of a Berserker as Eknara arrived on the scene. “ORAAAAAAA.” Eknara screamed as she worked her way into the crowd avoiding blows from the spinning chainsaws of nearby Orks.

She was thrown from her feet as an Auto-cannon from a Reaver exploded the ground around her, her ears rang as many of the Ead Unters that had also been hit staggered towards her waving dragging their weapons on the ground violently spraying dirt and parting rock. Eknara tried to stand but she had not yet regained her balance, all she could do is futilly thrust her sword at the enemy’s in front of her hoping she could hold them off until her balance returned.

Several black clumps of magic hit the ground near the enemies advancing on Eknara taking out a few but giving others pause, It would not last long as one Berserker lifted his chainsaw above her, images of her home and family flashed through her mind as she braced herself for release of her body. “Sorry Aicatul.”

Her last words were interrupted by a flash of gold as the weighted heft of Sutekh’s axe dug deep into the teeth of the saw causing it to rips itself apart as the axe sailed through it and into the head of its wielder. A large hand forcefully lifted Eknara to her feet.
“Eknara are you alright?” Sutekh spoke through the parasite to her.

“I’m fine, just can’t hear, where is Nahuatl?” She spoke, trying to regain herself.

Eknara’s question did not need to be answered however as the man stood nearby, shielding them both from pistol fire with a large reptilian scale while he fended off the rest with a glowing spear. “Best to retreat for now.” Nahuatl communicated as swarms of Ead Unters could be seen closing in on their location, soon they would be overwhelmed.

“GRAVION AAAAAAARC!!!!” A large purple beam cut through the air in front Len’s machine, forcing the Reavers to evade and dissuading the Berserkers from attacking the group. Long enough for them all to retreat with victim in hand.

Some distance away Eknara started to walk under her own power the effects of the explosion wearing off except for a splitting headache and possibly a perforated eardrum. Eventually the group caught up to Len, who was on the ground next to the Gravion cradling the lifeless body of the young girl.

“Why? Why did it have to end this way?” Len yelled at the group as they neared. “Why was she even there, what were they doing here so far into such a place, Eknara, Tell me!?”

Eknara was unable to answer as Len screamed up at the sky, lamenting his lack of power in frustration.

Outcome: Raid Successful
Nahuatl Negendra: 5EXP, Wounded
Eknara Orkaro: 5EXP, Wounded
Len Ornson: 5EXP, Wounded
Sutekh: 5EXP, Wounded

Tael gave the Japanese officer an odd glance before he continued.

"Only the common ones." Tael said bringing up a holographic map display of Thracs. "Some time ago Order had a group of researchers who called themselves Diggers, they were assigned to acquisitions, they were an admirable group but ill-suited for heavy combat."

The projection highlighted a specific location on the map with a blinking red dot and zoomed into the area showing detailed topography.

"The last communication we had with the Diggers, was before they explored this area, they had claimed to find a legend of their world called the mother lode at this site but shortly after entering we lost contact. It was suggested that they may have found an active portal on thracs and a recon team was sent to recover them, this team also disappeared."

Tael yawned slightly, he hated giving someone a history lesson, he'd rather simply go to the site and report back with first hand accounts, which was what he planned to do.

"We have yet to send another team to their deaths, even on the small chance that there is a portal there. However, we have been getting long range readings from the site that suggest that energy is building there. The engineers think that this energy controls the very fabric of reality in Thracs and may be the cause for the tattered fabric of space time." Tael rolled his eyes slightly. "They believe that this energy, is the core of Thracs and may hold the key to modifying the world in it's entirety."

The holograms powered down as Tael took a seat placing his elbows on the table and intertwining his finger in front of his mouth.

"I'm sure you understand that even a rumor of this cannot be overlooked, Ead unters would be the end of us all if they discovered such a power, and I shudder to think what the Khaotics would use it for. Both have been snooping around the site recently and, with our recent talks, we thought that you and your men would be of use in exploring and securing whatever we may find."

Building bridges
Tael quickly placed the child that he had been giving a ride on his armor onto the ground, it was a small girl, her clothes seemed to suggest she was of brotherhood origin and was a bit of an urchin. The child started to protest but Tael quickly handed her a candy bar and following a giggle, she was scooted out the door.

The room itself had a high domed ceiling, with a simple round metal and polymer table which seemed to house a great deal of electronics. The room was well lit, giving a cold sanitary feel to the place similar to war rooms of old. Tael stepped out of his armor leaving it to the side of the room as he stepped up to greet the Brotherhood envoy.

"Tael Avaria, I take it you are Saigo then?" Tael said taking a seat and starting to put a holographic projection. "We may have a problem."

Building bridges
A slight smirk of amusement formed at Andrea's lips was the only sign of amusement that she showed at another officer being called by a female pronoun, that and not making the effort to correct the Brotherhood official.

"Andrea Dartmoor." She said giving a quick salute to Saigo. "Secretary of operations and support, i believe you are looking for Avaria, he is waiting at the end of the bridge, there is a structure prepared for your visit." she said quickly turning on her heel to direct Saigo to a slightly larger structure than he had used when the previous negotiations had taken place.

Her stare was cold and disciplined, she noticed his hand but the familiarity of the greeting was not appropriate in the military setting and she ignored it. "CO Avaria just entered not too long ago, i believe he is waiting for you inside."

Building bridges
Tael, surveyed the work in updating and repairing the bridge that was underway, it would retain it's old stone surface but be converted into a drawbridge to accommodate sailing vessels traveling underneath. The work was carried out by Order for the most part, cyborgs and many powered suits lifting and shaping the stone and designing the machinery. By order's standards, it should have been improved into a hard-light bridge but, since the brotherhood used live animals for transport a less visually unnerving option was needed.

The actual project had been assigned to Andrea Dartmoor, a strict businesslike woman with a head for details. She ran a tight ship, making sure the build progressed quickly and uniformly. It held some sway that what cyberization she had was surgical and not visible to the outside, which made her easier to relate to for Brotherhood personnel.

However, Tael was not present to look over her progress this day, he was here to meet with the Brotherhood representative of more pressing military concerns.

Sour apples
Rando was not simply satisfied with destroying some trees and crushing some cacti, he needed some blood; some true carnage would be more enjoyable. However, first he would see the farm house raised and the people left homeless if alive; or rather he would have had it not been for two who had taken offense to his romp among the apple grove. Rando less than silently tore his way through the brush and fallen limbs of the great forest that shading the island of Faust stepping closer than he knew to a young woman, once the physical being of a goddess, laying in wait for the opportunity to repay the monstrosity for his actions.

Rando stopped short of the grove as a young man in black robes stood before him with a determined and serious looked on his features. He smiled his muscles undulating in anticipation, finally, someone he could watch the life drain out from.

“A little far from home, boy come to meet me?” Rando said slowly advancing on him.

Rando soon felt a sharp sting in his shoulder, followed by one more. He reached out to pull a glowing arrow from the tough hide he called his skin, clenching down on with his fist, it dispersed into lighted particles. Rando turned back at the robed man, Zayel, and started to charge him but the young man waved a small wooden stick a few times and then Rando felt searing pain on his head, burning words impacted his mind as the mage spoke.

“It was unwise for you to attack here; you should leave and return home while you can still walk.” Zayel spoke, intense focus upon Rando as he continued. “Words have more power than your fists posses, perhaps you are lost in the pain of your existence; you will fall prey to those far weaker than you.” He said shaping the terrifying world now forming in Rando’s mind.

Rando’s thoughts burned through the pain of his creation, the lifetime of pain he had caused, and unintentionally to Zayel, the pain he longed to cause. His eyes filled with bloodlust and rage, Rando charged Zayel surprising the young mage, Zayel was not quick enough to avoid the large creature Rando’s hand wrapped around Zayel’s torso as he lifted him into the air. Zayel winced in pain as his ribs were compressed.

Several more glowing arrows penetrated Rando’s skin along his arm causing his grip to loosen but not fail. Zayel’s skin turned thicker and more resistant to the constant pressure, his surface becoming oilier, Rando was having trouble keeping hold of his victim, as blood started flowing from his eyes as a result of the activity going on within his head. A shadow moved in his periphery, as it moved it became more and more visible, with a rancorous yell Rando threw Zayel at the being that in turn moved to break his fall. The two skidded to an abrupt stop on a nearby tree, a trail of cleared brush making a line to the injured duo.

Zayel blacked out from the trauma he had endured. Artemis is turn was unable to quickly shift the weight from her lap. She was able to free her hands and fired volley after volley of arrows into the muscle bound beast to no avail. In an attempt to give herself time she fired at the peculiar spot that all bipeds shared, the ankle. In two shots, Rando started to stumble, in one more he almost fell. Rando then ran full forced, only to be clipped by the arrows that had penetrated his skin. He was flung into the dense brush, his head making an audible crack on a large stone, where he lay unmoving.

"I guess Achilles isn't the only one." She murmured.

Artemis managed to rouse Zayel and, supporting each other, they limped away; leaving their prey gurgling in his own saliva.

Outcome: Ambush Successful
Zayel Blackstaff: 5EXP, Wounded
Artemis: 5EXP, Wounded
Rando: 5EXP, Wounded

how about just a Friday update

The Bridge
Hildefons took his neighbors hand. "I'm sure that the new bridge will be of benefit to both our nations." He said before escorting the Brotherhood emissary outside the structure. "Of course we will need input from some members of the Brotherhood as to ensure that the design does not cause any danger to the methods of transport your nation uses, we are unfamiliar with beasts domesticated for transport."

Hildefons was satisfied with this response, it was true that the new bridge would better serve both nations in commerce but, should the two countries ever go to war, Order would now be able to safely transport troops and supplies over the bridge without fear of collapse from the heavy burden. The stronger structure would also be much harder for the Brotherhood to destroy for a strategic advantage while order, having built the bridge, would have less problems and more to gain.

The Bridge
"Unfortunately, that description can match any number of people." Hildefons said taking his tea from the tray and motioning the robot towards Saigo. "You see these types of exoskeletons are used not only for military action but for construction and other utilities, as such they are quite common in the hands of many citizens and vagabonds alike."

Hildefons sipped his tea, not particularly satisfied at the incompetence his leader had shown during the reconnaissance it would have been much less of a mess should he have simply explained himself at the time. Now it was Hildefons that had to clean up the mess.

"We will investigate this vandalism to the utmost of our ability and see to it the perpetrator receives appropriate punishment, however, it seems we have a more pressing concern to speak about. I can certainly offer you help to repair the bridge but, as i am sure you are aware, it is in a state of disrepair and my superiors are willing to help update the bridge to a more current design."

The Bridge
"Ah yes, surely, come this way while I request information about local vagrants" Hildefons pushed a few buttons on the arm of his suit and gestured Saigo to the ground near the end of the bridge.

A few moments later they arrived at a small field

"This will do nicely." Hildefons spoke as he tossed a small capsule into the field, after a puff of smoke a large structured appeared, a small domed house, gesturing Saigo Inside, Hildefons took a seat at a polished wood table. "Hot tea for me and my guest." Hildefons gestured to a small servant robot who immediately departed. "I apologize for the temporary structure but, i thought it best to stay in sight of the object we are discussing. Now, could you describe this armored individual for me?"
