Artemis moved quietly through the Faust forest shortly after dawn. Although a layer of clouds had invaded the sky, she had all the light she needed for her current activity: A hunt for a Ceroatanian. It was a species of small birds that Artemis had discovered once before. This would be her first time hunting them. Having decided to travel bare-foot for the hunt, her feet were covered in the cold dew that had settled on the grass some hours before as her clothes danced ceremonially in the light wind. She walked with a nearly unparalleled grace and failed completely to produce any sound that would startle her prey. Artemis reached a bush and peaked through an opening. There they were. A flock, or wake as she had learned they were called, of nearly two dozen Ceroatanian. They were huddled together on the beach, just metres away from the borders the Faust forest. She eyed the peculiar four-legged birds and smiled when she saw a few them were doing what they were known for; walking on water as if they were as light as air itself. Her hands seemed to move on their own as she brought her long bow forward. She pulled skillfully on the string in order to have an arrow, made purely of moon light energy, materialize from one hand to the other as the bow grew taught. She kept her eyes on her target, aiming for one of the bigger birds that was nearly about a metre long. Using her True Shot skill the arrow had no problem finding its mark after it glided quietly through the air. It left an iridescent trail marking its course that quickly faded away just as soon as it caught an observer’s eye. A Ceroatanian fell on its side by the beach and slowly started bleeding from its wound. A chorus of sharp cries followed just a second after as the remaining flock panicked and tried to flee to safety. Artemis’ cover was blown, but she had no need of it anymore as she walked happily to her fallen prey. Outcome: Hunt successful Artemis: 5 EXP, Wounded Edited by scarththegrim, Jun 2 2011, 11:52 AM.
