| Doggorla ambushes Griepe Mizuno yawns as he floats serenely out in space. The Griepe is lifeless, Mizuno having already spent a long day of weapons training. Mizuno is just about to open his com channel to catch the show "Primetime Glick" which, for the first time since Marcus' Revolt, is being aired from Earth. All of a sudden, a salvo of beam shots comes hurtling at Jeff, crashing into the Griepe. Mizuno, immediately alert, powers up the Griepe, though not fast enough to avoid another few beam shots. Laughing evilly, Kendra in the Doggorla fires another few beam shots, taking her time in finishing off Mizuno. Suddenly, the Griepe roars to life and Jeff opens fire with his beam launcher. Kendra scowls angrily and separate the sections of the Doggorla. The beam shots fly harmlessly through the openings in between. Mizuno, however, is already blasting forward. He opens fire on one of the several sections and, seconds later, destroys it leaving only a warped hunk of metal where it once was. Kendra growls deeply and surrounds the Griepe with her remaining sections. They each fire at the same time, striking the crippled mobile suit. Kendra grins with satisfaction, only to realize that Mizuno had been able to launch several high powered beams while she was firing and had badly damaged three of her sections. Doggorla wins, Griepe loses Doggora: Repairing 2 days Griepe: Repairing 3 days Gerbera ambushes Vayeate Plodding through some dense foliage, the blue Vayeate and its pilot Jack Loire, were still celebrating their previous victory against Xen Dias and his Z’Gok. However, just as Jack had been silently zooming in on Xen earlier, another combatant was just then zooming in on Jack... Across the murky jungles, Jack McClain was quietly aiming his Gerbera’s long beam rifle at the plodding Vayeate. “Blue against green... brilliant, Vayeate,” Jack muttered. Getting a good lock on the Vayeate’s head, McClain fired his long weapon. Loire’s lock-on warning flared, and he turned around just in time to dodge a beam. However, his backpack was not so lucky. Sparking, a nice hole had been formed, thanks to McClain’s beam. Loire hissed a curse, dropped the backpack, and leapt behind some cover, inoperable beam cannon in hand. “Damnation! That was my only weapon!” Loire cursed again. “Got his beam cannon... now I just have to get HIM...” McClain said. Firing off a few more rounds, McClain successfully began breaking up the big rock that Loire was hiding behind. “Damn... have to think fast,” Loire said. Gripping his useless beam cannon, Loire leapt out from his cover and charged the Gerbera. “Idiot!” McClain yelled, opening fire. After losing some armor to the attacks, it was then that Loire planted his beam cannon into the ground, ran, and literally pole-vaulted off the ground. “WHAT THE F-“ was all that McClain got off before the Vayeate’s landing foot slammed into his mobile suit’s head, smashing it to pieces as it hit the ground. With a few more good stomps for good measure, Loire grabbed his bent beam cannon, and headed off. “OUCH...” was all McClain said. OUTCOME: Vayeate wins, Gerbera loses Vayeate: 2 days’ damage Gerbera: 2 days’ damage Rose ambushes Wing In the asteroid belt, the Wing floats in a gap between two clusters of asteroids. Almost in a meditative state, the mobile suit seems to move away from incoming asteroids without seeming to move away. Inside the cockpit, Rune has his eyes closed, but it is apparent he is not asleep as he makes constant corrections on the mobile suit’s direction. His demeanor is the exact opposite of the calm exterior of the Wing. Suddenly the alarm on his suit goes off and the Wing’s “Zen” like state ends as he looks to a radar filled with tiny objects. “Crap! Not him again,” Rune mutters to himself as rose bits loom closer. Rune quickly turns on his vulcans and machinecannons, unwilling to waste his precious buster shots yet. The affect is less than he desired, as only about a third of the bits are disabled. Swearing he finally unloads two shots of his buster rifle, the burning white light engulfing some more bits. Instead of getting angry, Jean Paul simply recalls the remaining bits and draws his “chevalier” beam saber and heads towards Wing. Unfortunately the Rose has a hell of a time trying to reach the Wing, due to the lack of adequate thrusters on Mobile Fighters. Finally giving up, Jean Paul begins his ultimate attack. Expecting this, Rune prepares to fire through the “force field” he assumed would be heading towards him. He fires his final shot of the buster rifle only to see the rose bits break formation before beginning the field. The rifle shot takes off Rose’s torso, but not before Wing becomes a piece of metal Swiss cheese. “Hehe... Viva La Francis!” Jean Paul says before calling a tug Results: Rose Wins, Wing Losses Rose: 3 days damage Wing: 3 days damage Rafflesia ambushes Tallgeese As a gargantuan freighter passed by his white mobile suit, Drake Altara wondered about what might be inside it. A second freighter was entering his scanners’ range, and Drake’s curiousity got the better of him. Activating his super vernier engines, Drake headed over to the freighter. Inside a dome cockpit, Thomas Grotto’s mind wandered the cosmos. Although he could still not fully control his gigantic mobile armor for more than a few moments, Thomas was confident. “One more battle should suffice,” said he, speaking to no one in particular. His roaming thoughts caught Drake’s mobile suit in flight, heading towards him. “Ah... there’s my ticket to perfection.” Outside, Drake observed the freighter up close. “Hmm… I can’t seem to find a hatch anywhere...” Drake noted. Something rattling against the hull caught his eye, and he looked at it. It appeared to be a giant, black earthworm-shaped hose, pinging against a crack in the hull. As Drake came closer, the whole thing went straight to hell. The freighter seemingly split along its seams and fell apart, revealing the monstrous mobile armor Rafflesia. “OH SHIT!!” Drake screamed, nearly wetting his pants as the battleship sized mobile armor rotated towards him. Super verniers flaring, Drake took off for dear life as the Rafflesia’s beam cannons sizzled past him. “Dammit... I can’t keep this up to long...” Thomas muttered, already beginning to sweat from the use of his neo-psycommu system. “Come on you miserable machine! MOVE!!” Drake pounded his controls, desperate beyond reason to put as much distance between himself and the Rafflesia. A lucky beam seared through space and slammed into the Tallgeese’s back, shattering a super vernier. Drake quickly detached the remaining vernier, lest he go into an uncontrollable spin. Now more or less stuck in space, Drake drew his Dobergun and began firing on the Rafflesia, escape rendered impossible. As the heavy, high-velocity shells slammed into the Rafflesia’s thick but not impermeable armor, Thomas struggled to get a target lock. “Damn you to hell, DIE!!” Thomas yelled, and fired all his beam cannons. By chance of luck, three hit home, blasting off both the Tallgeese’s legs and its right arm. Drake cursed loudly. “Hah... beat him... wooo...” Thomas panted, shutting down his neo-psycommu system before his brain overloaded. “He’s not firing...” Drake noted. “I think I’ll just quietly slip away then...” OUTCOME: Rafflesia wins, Tallgeese loses Damage Report: Rafflesia: 1 day’s damage Tallgeese: 3 days’ damage Xi ambushes Gids Geese, Gids Geese ambushes Xi In a jungle inside of South America, Owise aims his sand barrel and holds out his newly camouflaged shield and waits for his “target” to arrive on the path. Owise doesn’t even bother to turn on his radars, confident that his “information” is correct. Meanwhile Kaz is seen 5 meters away, prepping a few weapons before waiting for his “target” knowing that Owise would be near since he paid off the “information provider.” Kaz gets comfortable and thinks he is ready to outwait his opponent. As both competitors wait mysterious elevator music begins. After numerous hours, the music changes to country, hip hop, polka, and show tunes. Eventually, as is inevitable, the Jeopardy music begins. When the music finally stops both pilots are sporting a stubble and looking marginally thinner. Finally a sleepless Kaz decides he has enough, knowing he has much better things to do. At the same time Owise begins to think he could be working on Knight of Valor business while he was waiting for his target. In some strange twist of plot, both suits walk into each other and both pilots are stunned before the action begins. At nearly the same moment both fire missiles, and at nearly the same moment they both fire their sand barrels as a counter measure. Owise, being the more experienced is able to draw his beam saber after using his sand barrel and charges at Gids Geese. The thrust hits a vital circuit and the Gids Geese begins to lose power. Before it does, Kaz uses his own beam saber to swing at the Xi. Due the power loss, and Kaz’s unrefined technique the Saber hits just a hair away from the reactor. “Shit!!!!! Get out Poobah!!!!!!” is all Kaz says before running full speed, Owise a hair behind him. They manage to make it a couple of meters before the nuclear blast knocks the fleeing pilots over. When the explosion ends, both pilots are relatively unhurt, but stranded due to the massive Minovski discharge. While walking to the nearest village, Owise begins to whistle the theme to Gilligan’s Island, only to be slapped in the back of the head by Kaz. Kaz rolls his eyes and mutters, “I bet Kyoudai didn’t have to deal with this idiocy” Results: Draw Xi: Suit destroyed, 5 days damage Gids Geese: 4 days damage Airmaster ambushes Geara Doga Rock Howard, inside of the Airmaster, grins as his locks onto the Geara Doga. He licks hi lips and thrusts forward, opening fire with his vulcans and firing off two missiles. His attack hit its mark, and slams into the Geara Doga, knocking him forward. Jeff scowls and turns, firing wildly in an attempt to destroy his attacker. One or two of the shots find their mark but a larger round from, seemingly, out of nowhere, slams into the back of Airmaster, paralyzing it. The Hyaku Shiki blasts onto the scene, its beam rifle’s barrel still blazing. Before the Airmaster can be finished off by it, however, Jeff slams on his thrusters and empties his e-pac into the crippled Airmaster. Highly annoyed at the opportunistic Geara Doga, the Hyaku Shiki fires a single shot into the reloading suit, tearing through its upper torso and stopping it as well. Hyaku Shiki wins Hyaku Shiki: No damage Geara Doga: Repairing 2 days Airmaster: Repairing 2 days (Note: The Geara Doga is technically not at Side 3, which was missed at the beginning of the update. To allow the battle to be posted, he will not receive damage, but will get VP.) |
