| Joining |
| So you've finally made it through the nearly unending page of ramblings that we call the rules page. If you haven't, please read through that before this one, as the rules page is required reading for all potential cannon fodd... I mean mobile weapons pilots. If you have read it, by all means, proceed ahead. |
| The joining process is
fairly simple. How I got so many incorrect applications in After
Era is a pretty big mystery. To join, either fill out the form
below, or send an email to me at msg_rpg@yahoo.com
with the necessary information. Please send all emails in before
6:00 pm Eastern time on Sunday, or I won't have time to add you.
Remember, applications are only accepted on Fridays, Saturdays, and
Sundays, so please don't send them during the weekdays. Here's a brief explanation of all the information you'll need to send in: Pilot Name - Your best bet is to make this as realistic as possible. It can't be anything like "Lightning Storm," or "Sir Frags A Lot." It should be both a first and last name, and be one that any person on the planet would have. Also, it may not be the name of a pilot from any Gundam series, novel, manga, model, or game. It must be one hundred percent original. Suit Name - Your mobile weapon is your best friend in these "trying times." You can find a comprehensive list in the Mecha Domain, which is supported by the swell guys at Fantasy and Animation HQ. Make sure you pick a suit or armor that you like, and not just one that you think is powerful. There's more to suits then how many other suits they can kill. Mecha Domain Address - Now that the Mecha Domain has come "back online," it is once again the supreme source for all mobile weapon information. Therefore, you can only put the address of a suit posted on the Mecha Domain, and not an address from the World Wide Gundam Information Archive or the Gundam Project. Your Side - This is pretty much explained on the rules page. Just look back there incase you've forgotten something. Starting Location - This is just for Rogues. Make sure that you put where you want to start. Remember, it can't be a place controlled by a team or side. Check the bases page to see which ones are currently under their control. Email Address - Er... Do I have to explain this? If you actually don't know what an email address is, shoot yourself. Please. That's all you'll need to send in. I'll try to respond to all applications, so if you don't get a reply before the update, you probably didn't get in. Don't worry though. You can just try again next week. Oh, by the way, even though I think this should be obvious, you can't join as more then one suit. We had a bit of a problem with that in After Era, unfortunately. |
| Joining Form |
| This is probably the easist way to join. Just stick in the information and click send. Unfortunately, thouguh, the joining form doesn't always work. I'll be sure to post that it doesn't work when it isn't, so if you don't see any message, it should be working correctly. Just a small word of warning, sometimes it takes a while for the application to reach my account, so if you want to make sure it gets in before six on Sunday, it's probably a good idea to send it an hour or two before the deadline. |

| Marcus's Big List o' Suits Not To Join As |
| This list is here to give you a basic idea of which suits aren't good to try to join as. Obviously some of these are pretty obvious, while others you may not know about, so please check over the list thoroughly before attempting to send in your application. |
| Already Taken Suits - There can only be one of each suit on the roster, including mass production type suits. So please check the roster to make sure the suit you want to join as hasn't been taken yet. Upgrades - You can't join as an upgrade. You have to join as the original model of the suit, and obtain its upgrade through acquiring VP. - You can't join as the first model of an already upgraded suit. So if there's a Deathscythe Hell on the roster, you can't join as the Deathscythe. Suits Without Pictures - You can't join as a suit without pictures, because the writers won't know what it looks like, obviously, and won't know how to write about it. Suits Without Weapons - You may not switch to ramming speed. The only exception to this rule is the Ultimate Gundam. Suits You Design - You can't join as a suit you designed. If you like mobile suit designing, good for you. It's a fun thing to do. Unfortunately, you won't be able to apply those skills here. Tallgeese Units - The Tallgeese units are kinda confusing, because, though the Tallgeese I doesn't upgrade to the Tallgeese II, the Tallgeese III is an upgrade to the Tallgeese II. So, people can join as the Tallgeese and the Tallgeese II, but no the Tallgeese III. Unusual Upgrades - The Ebirhu Doga is the upgrade to the Rafflesia, making the Ebirhu Doga non-joinable. - The Devil is an evolution of the Ultimate, making the Devil non-joinable. - The Master is an evolution of the Kowloon, making the Master non-joinable. - The Grand is an evolution of the John Bull, making the Grand non-joinable. - The Heaven's Sword is an evolution of the Neros, making the Neros non-joinable. - The God requires the combat data of the Shining to operate, making the God non-joinable. - The Hi-Nu is an upgrade to the Nu, making the Hi-Nu non-joinable. - The Nightengale is an upgrade to the Sazabi, making the Nightingale non-joinable. - The Wing Zero is an upgrade to the Wing, making the Wing Zero non-joinable. - The Ez8 is an upgrade to the Gundam Mass Production Gundam Type, making the Ez8 non-joinable. - The Super Gundam is an upgrade to the Mark II, making the Super Gundam non-joinable. - The Aquarius is an upgrade to the Epyon, making the Aquarius non-joinable. - The Second V is an upgrade to the Victory, making the Second V non-joinable. Non-Pilot Mobile Suits - The Scorpio, Virgo, Virgo II, and Virgo Cubed are mobile dolls that lack any kind of cockpit accomodations, making them non-joinable. - The GT-Bit, GX-Bit, GW-Bit, and G-Bit DOME are bits, just like regular ones used with mobile suits, that are just shaped like mobile suits. They have no cockpits, making them non-joinable. Multiple Pilot Mobile Suits - The Zodiac requires a crew of ten to operate, making it non-joinable. - The Patulia requires a crew of three to operate, making it non-joinable. - The Adzam requirs a crew of two to operate, making it non-joinable. F90 Suits - All the F90 variations are the same mobile suit with different types of weapons stuck to the hard points. All variations are available to the pilot of the F90 to use during specific combat roles, and are non-joinable. Greek Symbols - The Greek symbol "v" from Char's Counterattack, reads Nu. If there is a Nu on the roster, the "v" Gundam is non-joinable. Keep in mind that the Hi-"v" from the Char's Counterattack novel is an upgrade to the "v," and is non-joinable as well. - The Greek symbol "x" from Hathaway's Flash, reads Xi. If there is a Xi on the roster, the "x" Gundam is non-joinable. |
