Rules
Rules are important. Read them all or you will die. My RulesNo second characters. No Racism outside of the roleplaying. I realize it was kind of rampant in those days, but keep it reasonable and I'll keep you. No non-roleplayers. If you don't roleplay then you don't play. EmailingYou can email me more than once in a day if needed. If this gets out of hand then I'll take this option away. Emails are sent from any time after I have the update completed till 5:30 PM Central the next day. Yes, this means you can send them the day before but that days update must be completed first. Once again, this might be removed aswell. The RPG runs on Monday through Thursday and on the weekends I have "me" time.Day and NightThis is very important to the game. I was constantly trying to think a workable way to do this and then it came to me. Read slowly so this sinks in, it's also kind of confusing. Monday is the Daytime and Tuesday is the Nighttime. Wednesday is daytime of the next day while Thursday is the nighttime. Read that as many times as it takes to visualize that before going on.Humans can have actions in both day and night. Vampires can only do things in the night, so they should only send emails on Tuesday and Thursday. In the world of the RPG, only 2 days will pass during one of the real world week's. It's kind of confusing, I know, but I'll make it work. Death/Second DeathIf you are a human and you're killed, that Character is no more. If you are a human and you are embraced, made a Lupine, or are damned as a wraith then that character lives on... kind of. Vampires can die if they are left in the sun, purposely walk into the sun, have their head chopped off, or somehow enter a very large and very hot fire. Wraiths don't die... again. They just kind of hang around or go away once they've had the crap kicked out of them. Lupines can die like humans, good luck trying to do that.If your character dies, you can make another. You're not removed from the RPG you only have to start over. Healing/DamageHumans take time to heal. Vampires can do it in varied times according to the discipline. It is the same for Lupines and Mages. Wraiths are healed the very next day(when I say day I mean a day in real life).TravelingIt takes one real world day to travel from place to place inside the town. So in the game world you'll be there that night or at the light of day. More towns will be added in time, aswell as new locations inside the current town. The game is a working progress.Note About the WorldFew people in those days knew the word Cainite. Or Lupine for that matter. Keep that in mind when you roleplay. Though the Masquerade wasn't organized in the Dark Ages, the Embraced still didn't care much for mortals knowing their affairs. Exposing information could lead to an NPC or two coming for you. If your character has never seen a Vampire or come into contact with one, roleplay your character that way. You should think of them as demons of Hell.OrdersThere are many things working in fair Vienna that you don't know about and that some of you might never know about. There are Vampire Hunters, Orders of Magi, Vampire Clan Havens, and much more. There will occasionally be hints to these but nothing written in stone. You might be propositioned by one or more of these groups depending on the paths you take. Another reason to choose wisely.JoiningJoining is very restricted. There will be no form for the public. I will invite most of the members and members might recommend some people but thats pretty much the only way in. For now I'm setting a limit of 21 people. This might go up or down.HelpIf you need help figuring out how many points you have for Abilities or Attributes, just email me at beyondgtrpg@hotmail.com. Yes, I know it's the address from the last RPG, but I don't want any more hotmail accounts.QuestsQuests are basically the only type of battling. Your character could be attacked by an NPC at random, but that won't happen much. Quests range from stealing, rescuing, searching, and killing to name a few. There will be a difficulty estimate, but that is for average characters. If your character excels in a certain area that could help this quest, then it will be easier for you. You can team up with people on quests and other people can do the quest. Teams can have 4 people at the max. There is no limit to how many people can do one quest, but you won't help each other unless you're a team. Sometimes battles with break out between members on quests, so unless you're a badass it would be smart to have a team. Teams don't have to have 4 people, they can have 2 or 3 aswell. There are rewards on Quests, either offerd by the person requesting it and/or the items picked up on them. You can find jewels, weapons, silver, many things of value. There are always unseen dangers on quests. |
