I get the famed Christian Dating Sites from last run, a few MMO's and people asking me if I want to make money from Google.

It used to be we all saw the same ads. They seem to be targeted now, which is creepy as fuck.

Google Ads are quite good at times of going after the targeted audience, but part of it really depends on if there are people out there advertising for a specific word that appears on the page that is loaded. They can also be really bad, for example google ads probably targeted the word forum with the bottom add, giving me the "Message Board Posts, Hunting Forum, African American Forum, Black Community Forum." The reason for the racial tones in this one are likely because the black forum is used someplace in the html, though I am not certain.

Or maybe they're mining data off the IRC channel.

It's not necessairly targetted per sae, the way the ad's work is they pull keywords and such off the site and then advertise things we think we'd be interested in. I'm just trying to avoid the thought that they're digging through my computer and finding out things about me, really.
