Since the #requiemecho #rpg chatroom merger affects us as well as the RE crowd, I want to give an avenue for people who aren't on the RE forums to cast votes. If you don't know what I'm talking about by now, you probably don't need to care about it.

I'm not putting up a formal poll because I want to see who replies, to ensure that you're not voting in each. Please only reply to this if you don't have an RE forum account, and use s3.zetaboards.com/Requiem_Echo/topic/7378464/1/#poll407697 if you do have an RE forum account.

Your vote may or may not be counted, but will especially be counted if you say you don't like the merge. Since they're the ones moving our "yes the merge is good" votes aren't necessarily as important as theirs, but our no votes are just as important.

I would like to say, this is becoming a big distraction and creating unnecessary drama. Most of us have been playing together for close to ten years now, and #RPG has always been the community chat room. This isn't highschool, fuck this clique crap. if you have a problem with certain people in the chat, there is a nifty little command "/ignore", use it.

And as far as the 'poll' in RE... it is my understanding that people (OYW members) who are not RE members were not allowed to vote, yet, Berrik was.

Berrik has gone far far out of his way to distance himself and alienate himself from the majority of the community. (If you want to sympathize in his dislike for Ketara, please reference the /ignore command... and get over it.)

Stop being stupid about this, its not that big a deal, we all play these games together, and #rpg offers a nice common ground for all the games, during play and during lull periods. Its getting ridiculous and a bit impractical now.

I honestly don't give a crap at this point. If it happens, it happens, and if it doesn't, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

I will say that I don't see anything wrong with seperate chat rooms for the games either. It's worked well until now, and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't continue working either.

Anyone with an RE account could have voted there, if you didn't have an account and clicked on one of the several links that were posted to the poll in #rpg you are prompted to make a free account in under a minute.

As for the merging I am already in favor of more merging than what is happening. If we can share a chat room we can share web servers and forums. Having one place to go for multiple rpgs is what we are going for and one central place for it would only lessen costs which are burdened by the multiple webmasters and put off the creation of these games.

(Back when we had easy and free hosting from Geocities, we had games popup overnight in a much more variety of interests due to the open hosting)

So yes, Merge the rooms, and work towards one web server and message board in my opinion. One side note however don't go kicking people out of chat room like #reqeuimecho, they talk there just like people do in #zeon or #ef, there is a lot of in game talk that happens that simply doesn't need to be said in front of everyone possible.
