Federation ekes out a narrow victory when Garahau abandons all non-Cima Fleet loyalists to die. She has meetings to attend. Secret meetings.

Wait, where's Richard Pelkan in all of this? I could have sworn I sent my e-mail today.

"Anaheim is playing a dangerous game...selling to both sides is going to bite them in the ass sooner or later. Still, mustn't look a gift horse in the mouth when it will help even the odds."
A few hours after the Gerbara Tetra had been loaded onto the Augustus, Banks found himself in the hangar, looking at the machine. Unlike the Gelgoog Marine Commander he'd piloted for the last three years, the Tetra stuck out like a sore thumb in the middle of the Zakus that were on the ship. That and the large booster unit that had been designed for the unit - if the information he'd been given was correct, there'd be little capable of outrunning or catching up to him while its fuel supply held out, except for possibly any mobile armors that were still functional. Which was a good thing, since a rapid retreat would probably be needed at some point in the future. He sighed and began making his way back to the quarters he'd taken for himself.
Delaz's plans looked solid on paper, but at the same time, so much could go wrong. They no longer had a military to fall back on for resupplies and repairs if a battle went poorly or they took too many casulties in one that went right even. And with a lack of income aside from what supporters in Side 3 and in other locations...it was a mess. A far cry from when he served with the ZEF and funding was in abundance. Not to mention that the Garden of Thorns was obviously ramshackle at best when compared to Purgatorio or even the myriad mines they'd set up during the war. But those were sacrifices they'd needed to make if this was to work. Even the doubts about cooperating with Cima had been placed aside for the success of the operation, though it was fairly obvious that very few people liked Cima, much less trusted her, given the MAF officer's reputation. But Banks had to give Delaz credit for keeping people calm enough to pull something like this off, especially given how drastic Gato's personality had changed since the armistice had been signed. Not that anyone could blame him - losing that many close allies was bound to change anyone unless they happened to be a sociopath.
Settling down in the first mate's quarters, Banks sighed. The room was rather spartan, but he hadn't slept in anything even remotely fancy since before Solomon had fallen, so it was something he'd grown used to. At the very least, the Augustus was in good shape, so everything worked the way it was supposed to, unlike some of the more jury-rigged systems on the Garden. He had a letter from Seglinde that he needed to respond to. It seemed funny that newtypes kept finding their way into his life, but Banks wasn't the type to believe in fate. Coincidence, maybe, but fate wasn't something that really existed. Either way, he just hoped she'd manage to survive all of this...he wasn't sure how many more deaths of people he knew he was going to be able to take without losing it. Either way, he had to prep the Tetra for launch. This area had been his old stomping grounds once, and he was eager to show the Federation he was still alive and able to do some damage to them.
"Seig Zeon...or perhaps this is just to honor old friends...either way, time to shake some of the rust off."

Hmm.
Sorry EFSF, but I've got to guess Zeon takes this cake, and gives it to Ryocha for a belated birthday.

Hey there, all of you!
Big sis is busy working her butt off over here, and I can't stop thinking about you guys every day. I just hope you guys don't decide to come over here to work, too. I have my hands full keeping your little brother and sister in check by themselves, having all you guys here would be too much, haha!
Don't worry about me, I'm doing fine. Heck, I've got a great woman as my superintendant, and everybody seems to look up to her, so I'd say I'm doing great over here! She's a great person, and maybe, if you're lucky, your big sis might be just as great as her some day!
Love, big sis.
PS: We have a big order coming up, and I might not be able to send a letter back to you guys anytime soon. Don't worry about me, I'll make sure none of our family members don't do anything stupid~
Valeria sighed a little as she gave the letter to the person in charge of them. The storms are coming.
