First off... Introductions:
I am FlippMoke aka Jojo aka Nigel Ferdinand. I am one of the EFGF officers along with Kyle (which is fun since we both have known each other in RL for sometime). First off I would like to talk about the roles I see for myself as an officer in OYW. I do not see myself as a dictator of order only an organizer. I feel my position is to take take the general ideas of the group, condense and make orders of them. However, I do have some opinions and preferences on how to make things organized. So here are my short list of "rules" that I have learned from doing this as an officer in previous runs of OYW.
1. Keep the EFF message board clean:
Not everyone has time to read 200 different threads with 300 different ideas. Each in game day (a day with an action) there should only be one thread for strategy. The title of this thread is an example of how it should be titled. Other examples would be: "EFGF - Strategy - (10/19/2009)" or "EFGF - Orders - (10/25/2009)". Each day there should only be one strategy thread, once a decision is decided upon I will issue an orders thread. In this thread please respond if possible acknowledgment of the orders and if you will be following them. Keep comments short in these threads and try to make use of quotes on other people's comments to make it easier to read when possible.
2. Roleplaying is highly encouraged!
Roleplaying makes your character more interesting and makes it easier for the battle writers to write about your character. This is not limited to the roleplaying board however! Some information such as RP strategy should be done on this board as it might contain important information. Therefore title posts in here as such: "RP - EFGF - Character Name - Title (Date)" It keeps things compact and lets us know more about your character! (I would also encourage this on the general RPing board minus the RP part of the title). Keep in mind the more liked your character becomes the less likely he is to die in battle etc.
3. Let us know
Please let us know if you are going out of town etc. No one is going to complain to you if you just up and leave, its your life, but its easier for us to plan with knowing what is going on.
4. Object!
I am not perfect, I really want to make you guys feel as if you are planning the things we do as well. HOWEVER don't object on the ORDERS board. This should be a simple orders, then accept don't accept sort of thing. Write up objections on the strategy section! I WANT YOUR INPUT! I hate nothing more then to have you speak up with your great idea after we can't use it.
5. Be Patient
Please be patient with other people and with the people in charge of the game. If you need to take a break from the game or if you are tired of dealing with someone let us know and we will try to help solve the problem lets not argue too much. This is for fun!
6. RP!
This one is always a hot topic, because many people want to see their RP being used to their cause. If you want to contribute to the RP pool I ask that each week you send me your RP right off the bat. Otherwise you are welcome to keep it! We like to know what you plan to spend it on though, so we can work your purchases into our plans though. Saving RP is totally understandable as some people might use it for Roleplaying purposes which I highly encourage. No one is going to make you part with your RP.
If you have any other comments on how to do things let me know. I love your input!
