I like this fleet idea, plus i like it how the second Medea in fleet one is half Test Pilot and half NPC. lol
Oh and BTW i'll donate my RP as well.

The Medea fleet is a good idea but Hillocks are pretty worthless unless they are with a Himalaya so fleet two should not be built unless the Himalaya comes first.

I would say a lack of a Himalaya is a definite lack of strength in fleet 2, however, I would also say that a Himalaya is not a great thing to build alone, therefore, that is why I proposed building the Hillocks. They are really the first step, by week two we should be able to afford a new ship for the fleet. We could wait till week two to build anything in the 2nd fleet. I would be tempted to say, well if enough people show up at the trivia etc. We could afford one right off the bat, but I would rather not count your chickens before they hatch so to say. If we get enough to build a Himalaya from them we should and remove a Hillock and replace it with a Himalaya in the first week's purchases. So on that note: Go find funny pictures, write your profiles, and roleplay! |

I realize the the Himalaya by itself has its weakness but I don't think we should build another fleet just to have another fleet.
I'm fine with waiting a few weeks for a Himalaya, in fact I recommend building the Medea fleet first as it is cheap and could let us paradrop on Zeon Mines.
I just think the Himalaya fleet should be the eventual goal even if it doesn't happen for a couple of weeks.

In my opinion this is an very cleaver idea the Zeon ground forces will have to choose who to focus their attention on or split their forces, regardless we win. That in of itself make the two fleets worth it regardless of their makeup, I'm jealous I didn't think of it first then maybe I'd still be in the running for a promotion. |

I think I've got to agree. In addition to having to choose to split or focus, they just plain will not see it coming. Of course it's also possible we won't actually get the fleet until the second week anyway, because I am most definitely waiting on all the PCs of the fleet to gather first. Specifically, I'm looking to Aleksei, who would be the primary defender.
Besides. It's fun to take the ballsy choice!

Will the officers be telling the grunts where to travel on the first day? I will provide orders, but no one is required to follow them. Movement orders would be based on meeting up with the fleet prior to a strike. |

The target selection for the paradrop (1st) fleet will more then likely be a mine someplace. The final target is TBD, as we are going to play off their positions some. The 2nd fleet will be attacking Manila.

Could you post what you're thinking for a timetable Jojo? The reason I ask is because I was gonna spend my first action moving to North Africa and attacking the Iraqi Air Patrol the day after that but would gladly suspend that to participate in whatever you have planned.

Sure, I am sorry I haven't provided one yet. So here we go on the schedule. Please comment or add suggestions as necessary: Day 1: All European Forces are to begin moving. Those assigned to fleet 1 are to move to South America. Everyone assigned to fleet 2 is to move to the Pacific. Both of these movements are so we can get to friendly territory in order to purchase ships. Day 2: Those from Europe will be moving still. Day 3: Purchases for Fleet 1 and perhaps Fleet 2 will be done at this point. Since these purchases are not considered the action for the day, we will also be moving Fleet 1 and Fleet 2 to the Atlantic and East Asia respectively. Day 4: A Siege of Manila will begin from Fleet 2. A paradrop attack from Fleet 1 will occur on one of the mines in Africa. A couple of notes! First, Feyd, I think I would want you with Fleet 1 for the paradrop. You will really help with any of the air patrols we run into for that day. Guntank MPT (PC: Jack Murphy), I previously listed you with Fleet 1, but I think you might be better off with Fleet 2! This gives us more bombardment power and it could be a nice edge to really flatten Manila. Going to leave it up to you to decide what you would like to do. For those test pilots! If you can do some sort of training with out taking damage, feel free to do it the first day, as long as the 2nd day you move OUT of Jaburo to South America. |
