The turbulence earlier in the flight had upset Nigel's stomach some, but his espresso had calmed his nerves some, however, the one side of effect of massive amounts of caffeine was that he was wide awake despite it being in the early hours of the morning as the Benedictus skipped across the few clouds in the doldrums of the Atlantic ocean.
"Its beautiful isn't it?" said a voice suddenly from behind Nigel. He turned his head to see his beautiful wife who had woken up from her slumper in a makeshift cot in the cargo hold.
"Well, yes, it is." said Nigel in a slightly grumpy mood. He was quite used to getting his way and despite his greatest attempts he never seemed to win with Melissa. "I can't believe you wanted to go to war with me."
"Women are serving all over the Earth Federation, there is nothing wrong with me being here," said Melissa with a huff. "Plus, we all know you can't look after yourself."
Nigel rolled his eyes as he peered out the windows at the clouds below then his mind drifted to the mobile suit in the back of his Medea.
"I feel safer now that we have that with us," said Nigel pointing in the general direction of the hangar. "We will be getting more soon too."
"Well they are trusting you with lots of hardware, so they have to be confident in you," said Melissa with a smile.
"Maybe, but the hole reason I got this dangerous mission seems strange to me, "said Nigel as he looked back out the window.
