So, including infantry and in doing so including a lot of CP combat where in OYW4 when CP was introduced it was only actually used in maybe four or five events total, has caused a few issues. It is probably okay in the current system, but based on our recent events I think it needs a revamp. I'm interested in what people think of this.
Step 1 - Change the way CP scales to be identical to VP. Atm one point of CP is worth about twice as much as one point of VP, and specializations are not as beneficial to CP as they are to VP. This would put the number scaling on a system that's already established and tested.
Step 2 - Change the starting CP at joining to the following. Open for discussion.
EFGF - 1 (11 after spec.)
EFSF - 1 (11)
EFGF Officer - 5 (5)
EFSF Officer - 5 (5)
EF Test - 1 (11)
EF Grizzvet - 5 (15)
Enlisted Civ - 1 (11)
TAF - 1 (11)
MAF - 1 (11)
SAF - 1 (11)
SS - 20 (20)
ZMF Officer - 5 (5)
ZMF NT - 1 (11)
ZMF Test - 1 (11)
Rogue - 1 base, +1 per point
People in EF/Zeon who start as infantry, rather than the current system, would simply have their joining VP/CP scores flipped, unless they were SS. It would look like this at starting.
Grizzvet infantry: 5 VP, 20 CP (15/30)
TAF infantry: 1 VP, 15 CP (11/25)
MAF infantry: 1 VP, 18 CP (11/28)
SS panzergrenadier: 15 VP, 20 CP (15/20)
Step 3 - Change the CP per level of shop units to the following. Open for discussion.
Pilots - 3/lvl
Guerillas - 6/lvl
Marines - 10/lvl
Panzergrenadiers - 16/lvl
This is the closest system you can get that mimicks the old system while putting Marines on the 10 CP/level standard that pilots are on for VP.
Step 4 - Add an "Elite Infantry" specialization that works like Expert Crew, and allows a PC playing Infantries attached infantry unit to reach lvl6.
Comment plz
