Hey everyone! Week 1 went pretty much as planned despite the competing Pylons of the EFSF and Jim stumbling into the teeth of the EFSF lines by accident. Things are going to start getting exciting; this week you guys are going to be attacking +2DE en masse this Thursday. Isaiah and Ravage will do a spar at +3DE to get some VP before joining you guys on your assault. Hopefully the damage they get is only 1 Day each. Ming is also at +3DE and he can join you guys on your assault if he likes. Frenzy’s the local SAF officer so he’ll be in command of the attack itself. Arcaille is there as the SS, whom I am sure will be hounding Frenzy all the way like a good Gihren Zabi trooper. I’ll draw up the assault map based on what Frenzy’s impressions of our target. As for the target of your guy’s assault on Thursday, I think the Blex Fleet is your best bet. That is, unless the EFSF presents itself as a better target. Another possible goal is to cover Jim’s withdrawal from +1DE but we’ll have to see how that plays out. Musings: I was idling in the main IRC channel late last night and caught Latooni talking about misplaced Pylons and our asteroid mines. At the very least it lets us know that the EFSF is aware of our intentions and may hire rogues against us. I’m keeping track of every space PC/NPC unit in space so if I see something suspicious, we can fortify ahead of time. Here’s to another successful week!

Tianem seems like a good target. Dummy fleet to pull the Magellan away and the MS's can focus on killing the Colombus that houses 30 fishes.
Also I have 20CP if we want to get creative!!

Blex Fleet is the weak link for the EFSF's barrier fleets. Fewest number of ships plus a relatively low number of MS.
Manticore Class: lvl6/5 Magellan (Blex) Ship State: OK - 2x Marines - 1x GM E
Biggest threat in terms of skill and firepower. We'll probably have to avoid attacking this one head-on. A GM-E isn't much of a threat, but it's still faster and more maneuverable than a Zaku, so there's that to factor in. But Blex's gunnery crew will be dangerous to us. If we can take it out, so be it, but right now, I'm iffy on going toe to toe with it.
Swiftsure & Monarch Class: 2 x Salamis Ship State: OK - 1x Marines (per ship) - 1x GM E (per ship)
Since they're identical in all respects with the exception of name, I'll combine my analysis for them. These are the weakest armed ships in the fleet that can take more than a shot before going boom. More GM E's, but nothing we can't handle with the right tactics. After STS-14, these should be our primary targets.
STS-14 Class: Colombus Ship State: OK - 1x Marines - 10x GM E
Since it carries 10 GMs, this should be our starting point in terms of ships that should be taken out. If we can take it out before most or all of them launch, we'll be in good shape. The ship itself is unarmed, so chances are that it'll try to make a run for it while launching MS. Thankfully, we should have the Braw Bro...
STS-36 Class: Columbus B Type (R) Ship State: OK - 4x Ball - 500 RP
Other than the fact that it carries some support in the form of 4 Balls, we should take this out since it carries a bonus of 500 RP in it. Not to mention it can repair other ships, so a good target to take on. But since it's otherwise like STS-14, taking it out before it gets a chance to bolt is a good idea.
3x Public Level: 1, 1, 1 Ship State: OK, OK, OK
Not really sure how much of a threat these will be to a MS attack force, but taking them out to up the chance of forcing the fleet to disband is a good idea.
10x Ball
Only real advantage they'll have is numbers, but those cannons can hurt, so be careful.

You guys will arrive just in time to catch them resupplying. =)

Let's take a vote: Who wants to hit what fleet? Once we get a tally, we'll attack said fleet. Only SAF and Space MAF/SS only, please.
Right now, the tally is
Blex: 1 Synapse: 1

I'd take Synapse, simply becasue I think they'll be in a move vulnerable position at the time we catch them.

I vote for synapse. The only real obstacle is the magellan which we can pull away with a a dummy fleet and have the braw bro zip though and tear apart the colombus(es?). I can also help capture and board one of the damaged colombus(es?). I have like a 20 CP to work with.

Synapse, since it would hurt them more in the long run.

Well, then it's pretty much decided that we're going after Synapse.
But a dummy fleet takes a lot of money.

Frenzy only has enough for a MS Support Service of 3 Zaku II Fs for 125 RP. After I finish building on Wedensday, I only have 70 RP left.

Capture mission's too risky, though. This will be a straight up hit and run mission.
Since we don't have the forces to inflict terminal damage on the fleet as a whole, we should concentrate on the transports as much as possible. But since Ravage may or may not be available, we should make a pair of plans to reflect this. I don't want to be caught with my pants down by relying on him for the plan and then him being unable to e-mail.

Ravage did log in the chat a while ago. Let's just hope the HDD can handle the pressure.
