I thought since we are on hump day we could resume planning past Malta and look forward to what we may or may not be doing in week 3 of the RPG.
Chris, I know you and I discussed the necessity of heading to the Atlantic to start reaping down their cash crops, and I am convinced that will be necessary at the very least for a short-term financial gain, and I guess it hurts their Side RP or something too unless I'm mistaken.
However, I wish to bring attention to the fact that since the Federation has constructed their two fleets, we have been blessed with a unique opportunity. Their vaunted mobile suits that I would normally hesitate to confront are more or less exposed to attack since they are essentially stuck on Medeas in the sky - a style of warfare we can easily dominate with "lolDopps." Currently they are seemingly assaulting our patrols in North Africa, and are in a state of repair, but it's obvious their ultimate objective is to be the two lightly-defended mines in the area.
Currently Draco is there and is purchasing a ton of Flight Support Dopps in an attempt to further harass their fleet and maybe even destroy a Medea or two. Regardless of the outcome, it should push back the conquering of the mines at least a few days (presumably after we conquer Malta), so I would like to offer up a thought:
Chris, what if next Monday we get you enough money to buy another Jukon, maybe a Gaw as well, and add those to the fleet and you lead a task force into the Atlantic to begin the campaign there. Meanwhile, I could take a group of the heavier ground-oriented people who are unlikely to be a game-changing asset in naval battles (read: Zakus) and try to push their fleet out of North Africa (assuming it hasn't fallen)?
Just a thought. Would love to hear what all of the officers think about this, space and ground alike.
