I'm not one for planning and typically just follow what I'm told. Not sure how effective we will be when they outnumber us and all. Perhaps use the tanks and air support to distract the enemy while we drop in from up high on the base.

I'm scared of having the Gaw drop you guys directly, they have a GM Sniper. >.< It's up to you though.

Distract the dish, or do it under cover of night or weather. Or fuck, fling a decoy at it while the Gaw drops you guys.

Could go balls to the wall and drop the tanks outside, then (with Dopps as cover) drop the mobile suits in the inside?
Edit - In any event, Janadian and Ender, make sure you guys remember to send an e-mail on Monday saying you wish to paradrop RF-1 along with Gaw. We'll try to finalize this plan tonight.

How about this for a rough write-up: Allied ForcesPC Mobile Suits - Markos Steiner (Ender, TAF - Gouf), Noelle Everett (Janadian, TAF - Dom) NPC Mobile Suits - 2x Zaku II K (Dragon, 1x lvl1, 1x lvl2), 2x Zaku II J (Gaw, 1x lvl1, 1x lvl2) NPC Support - 2x lvl2 Marines (Dragon), 1x lvl2 Dodai YS (Dragon), 1x lvl3 Luggan (Dragon), 5x Magella Attack Tank (Dragon), 14x Dopp (10x Dopp from 2x Flight Support, 4x Dopp from new Dopps for Dragon) NPC Ships- Dragon (lvl2 Gaw - Lightly Damaged) Enemy ForcesPC Mobile Suits - Jack Verse (GMPGT, Repairing 4 days, Injured 1 day), Jay Tessa (GM Ground Type, Repairing 4 days, Injured 4 days), Jane Shepherd (GM S Type, Repairing 1 day), PC Support - Cray Vermillion (Type 61, Repairing 2 days), Jim Irwin (Tin Cod, Repairing 2 days) PC Ships - Nigel Ferdinand (Benedictus - Medea, Damaged) NPC Mobile Suits - 1x lvl2 GM Sniper (Dignity - Medea) NPC Support - 1x lvl3 Marines, 1x lvl3 Marines + Bloodhound (Benedictus - Medea), 1x Depp Rogg, 2x Tin Cod, 2x lvl4 Tin Cod, 2x lvl3 Don Escargot NPC Ships- Dignity (lvl4 Medea - Okay), Chicken Little (lvl3 Medea B - Lightly Damaged) As you can see, it would appear we have all the advantages in terms of numbers, firepower, and initiative. I don't believe they can strip the mine anyway if we are paradropping them, and because I'm angry about Malta I would like to propose a very aggressive plan of action: StrategyThe Dopps will be at the front of the task force, in a very aggressive formation; Dragon will follow very close behind, at the lowest possible paradrop altitude. The objective will be to drop all mobile suits, tanks, and infantry on top of the plateaus surrounding RF-1 (as close to the base as possible, on the strips of land closest to the installation's facilities), as seen in this image: The Gaw is then to ascend to bombing altitude, and begin carpet bombing the base with the Dopps escorting. The primary objective of the Gaw, however, is to finish off any enemy ships trying to escape. The Dopps are to proactively engage any and all enemy aircraft and protect Dragon, with a secondary objective of finishing off any Medeas trying to escape. The mobile suits and tanks are to establish a semi-circular ring around the drop zone, and pump as much ammunition into the enemy units as possible. The Zaku II J's will use machineguns and bazookas, and their primary objective is the destruction of any counterattacking forces and point defense of the Zaku II K's. The Zaku II K's will use bazookas and their cannons, and their primary objective is the destruction of enemy mobile suits, with a secondary objective of destroying any ships attempting to escape. The Magella Attack Tanks will use their cannons, and have a primary objective of destroying enemy ships attempting to escape - their secondary objective is ranged defense of the Zaku II K's. The Marine units are to attempt to infiltrate the HQ compound and capture it, under support fire from the tanks and mobile suits (that is their primary objective). Markos Steiner (Gouf) is to descend on the Dodai YS, flanked by Noelle Everett (Dom). These two mobile suits are to serve as cavalry, and rapidly make their way to the opposite side of the base - their primary objective is to destroy enemy ships before they can escape, with a secondary objective of destroying enemy mobile suits. Allied units are authorized to fire on friendly buildings, with the exception of the HQ and Mining Facility. Global objectives for this mission are: Primary Objective - Destruction of enemy forces. Secondary Objectives - Recapture of RF-1, capture of enemy forces and units.

I'm not in it, but it seems fine to me. But why not drop the suits from a higher altitude so that the Gaw can start bombing earlier?

This attack is meant to be a rapid blitz on them to try to catch them off-guard, higher altitude would take longer for the mobile suits and tanks to drop.

Nice plan. Keep in mind that we have the targeting information of the Airfield, we used to own it. Destroying that should be easy knowing exactly where to have the tanks shell out or the Gaw bomb, slowing the escape and damaging aircraft on it. It may help, a destroyed airfield makes the enemy deploy half as fast.

The Medeas are VTOL capable, but it's very likely the aircraft will be stationed on or near the Airfield. Good call, Brad.

I'm all for playing up the Cavalry.
What if we specify this is a night-time assault? Since we do have the data on the mine, it's not like it's a logistical nightmare for us? I'd personally prefer attacking at dark, giving a little edge to the fight, and hopefully truly catching them off guard.

Forgive me for the question, but paradropping will be done in the mobile suit, correct?
I'm up for it either way, but I just wanted to make sure. I'll be purchasing an MS Team of two Zaku II Fs with two Veteran pilots tonight as well, if you want to include that in your planning as well.

I really wish I could, but the fleet is breaking up tonight to pursue individual objectives for each of the ships in it, and the Gaw is already full of mobile suits. =( It won't be able to transport any more to the battlefield.
