Whats the status of our forces at Manilla? How much did we lose exactly? By reading over the event it looks like we did pretty well, I think if we have the forces that if we keep up the pressure we'll be able to break the siege. Most of them are repairing for a good 3 days now.
Two of their ships are damaged as well.
-8x lvl2 Tin Cod, 1x lvl2 Don Escargot -2x lvl2 Don Escargot -1x lvl2 Don Escargot
Is the current status of the fleet, according to the Tactical page.
8x lvl2 Dopp 3x lvl2 Dodai YS 2x lvl2 Luggun (D) - 3x lvl3 Zaku II J 1x lvl4 Zaku II S 1x lvl2 Gouf 3x lvl3 Gogg 1x lvl4 Z'Gok
Is what's still at the base, +1 Damaged Jukon, according to the tactical page. Not sure if these numbers have been updated since the last battle, but considering as their forces are still repairing I suggest sallying forth again.
Use the Underwater MS to attack the ships, hopefully sinking them, and using our aircraft to engage their aircraft. Launching Mobile Suits out on Dodai doesn't seem to be working very well with their AA coverage and their fighters constantly shooting our Dodai down and sending us to the depths.
What do you guys think?
tl;dr
-Send underwater suits to attack the ships, hopefully sink them. -Send the aerial units to engage their fighters, once the fighters are down, have them begin attacking the ships, and then possibly deploy the Zaku's on Dodai's.
That's basically what I'm getting at.

I brought this up in the regular Zeon boards, but I'll repeat it here.
I'm currently in East Asia, situated at Beijing. I'm piloting a Dom S, and will be purchasing two Doms w/ L2 pilots on Monday. Is there anything I can do to help against the siege?
Tian suggested a hit and run; Draco echoed that idea, adding that if we choose to initiate a "Sally Forth" action it might distract the attackers while I harass them with my MS squad and beam bazooka.

I am moving to Manila with mondays action, taking my jukon with me. You can hit and run, or wait on me. I'm gonna bet they won't assault with loses they took, so one days updates of turtling might not be our worst option. I WILL break their fleet... Habeeb it!

I vote for them to turtle or fortify or hole up, unless they buy like a million mobile suits I doubt they press an assault to try to end it, and you guys (Kale and Chris) could meet up in East Asia on Wednesday and maybe they can do a Sally Forth then in conjunction with your attack.

Well, we're here to ask! I'll admit that the ground forces have more to worry about than the space forces, but I get the feeling that you'll pick up on this pretty quickly.

Actually, we might be doing a Sally Forth -- per the discussion on the regular Zeon forum. Frenzy: Thank you. I'll definitely be taking you up on that offer ^_^. Chris: I'm looking forward to scalpin' me some Feddie ;). So, from the looks of it, I'll try to hit them hard on Monday with assistance from Manila's own defenses, and Chris sweeps in on Wednesday to pick up the pieces and fish my dead arse out of Davey Jones's Locker?

Im not sure Sally Forth is best idea. We lost just as much as they did the last skirmish... think we have what we need to pursue them again? If so, I'm for it.
Also, I want to get some RPing in with you one weekend sir, I miss those days :-p lol

The problem I see with just holing up is, what if they 'do' just launch an attack, and for that matter come Wendsday who knows what'll have happened to our forces via the bombardments.
But if you guys feel that holing up is the best of plans, go for it. I just figured that since they are at a diminished capacity at the moment we could take the advantage with it. They don't have much left in the way of air power, while we do, and most everything they got is currently damaged, granted, the Jukon is damaged as well, but I think our forces are a spot better off then theirs.
But as I said, holing up could work I guess.
With the Dom S and his squad, I do feel we'd be able to break the siege, so I'm voting for Sally Forth.

Hmm. It does seem a little risky, putting all of our eggs in one basket. Especially if that basket's being carried by a newbie on his first sortie.
If we do the Sally Forth on Monday, I think we need to be reasonably sure that our NPC forces can carry the burden of the battle against their NPCs + the two operational PCs (Jarvis Ackhart and Tael Thorn). Aside from huge guns and a lot of hope, I'm not sure how much I bring to the table.
I imagine it's worth assuming they'll try and spruce up their defenses with purchases Monday?
On the other hand, if I just hit and run tomorrow, and wait for you on Wednesday to do a larger scale attack, many of their PCs will have repaired. In addition to the two already at "Status: Ok" another three will be ready to fight Wednesday (Bigby Wolfe, Hirsch Munchek, Jack Murphy).

The thing about a siege though is that if you sink the ships, the siege is broken. That's why I suggested it, but again, I'm for holing up as well, my only concern with that is whether or not our forces would survive the bombardments until wendsday and if they do decide to launch an attack.
You gotta figure they probably expect that we expect they'll entrench so they could do something different, anything is possible, really.

At the moment, I think I'm still in favor of the Sally Forth, for the reasons you mentioned, Zero. Seems like if we wait it out too long, we'll take too much damage and risk them repairing by the time we can mount an adequate counterstrike.
Zeon were never meant to fight a war of attrition.
I'm off for the night. Gonna go commit a few youthful indiscretions! I'll see you all tomorrow.
