I got a private message from Scarth earlier today, inquiring about Manila:
I like Scarth; I've played in games with him a long time. He's also made me laugh out loud about twenty times, as I read over the last two weeks' worth of posts here. However, our amount of real contact could best be described as "amicable but superficial". So I was wondering if Draco or Chan could vouche for him in this instance?
To be honest, I'm a little concerned with the fact that he just jumped ship this morning, and then turns around and wants to help us out with Manila. It's possible he's fishing for more information on what we plan to do there, and will pass it along to the Feddies. Again, I don't know him well enough to make that judgment call.
Also, not to be unimaginative, but I'm not sure how much effect a weaponless tank would have in a naval battle...
