Okay, so I'm going to be on Earth here in a bit. From the looks of it, I'm needed. So in exactly two days, I will be in Odessa, and from there I will be moving out to the frontlines. I've run this war a couple of times now, from both sides.
Couple of things I think will help:
BUY DOPPS TO BLOW THE SHIT OUT OF MEDEAS.
Medeas are ungainly, slow, and not very manuverable. They crash if you shoot them down. They can't paradrop you if they have crashed. And you should never underestimate exactly how much of a pain in the fucking ass they can be.
Air support is key in this game. I can't tell you how useful I found the Lila Litvak in the third run. Why? I could bomb the shit out of everything. Literally. Tanks are also useful, especially -our- tanks.
Coordination is key. Too many chefs will ruin the cake, you know? Right now, we've got three officers on Earth. We need to decide on which one to follow, in an OOC sense. Sure, the others will still be officers, but without coordination and a clearly defined chain of command... we're done.
We're already working at a disadvantage here. We're split up between ground and space, while the Feds are leaving a token presence in space right now. If we're going to win, we're going to have to buckle down and start hitting back and hitting hard.

Upon review of the locations of EFSF units, it may be possible that they relocated to Earth Orbit in order to bring up the Pegasus II-class Kira Yamato so they can use it in their assault on the ZMF Resupply Fleet tomorrow.
MING is going to have some fun by the end of this week.

Dopps are nice, but there are inherent problems with our ability to field as many aircraft as the EF.

I'll be purchasing 6 Dopps and 6 Magella Attack Tanks for RF-1, just to shore up defenses, today.

Thanks Ender. <3 Good luck to you if they try to take it back.
Tian, what kind of proposals do you have as far as how to field enough aircraft to neutralize their ground presence? In particular I'd like to know what kind of ratios we should be pushing for as far as air support / tanks / mobile suits / terrestrial ships, because it feels like to gain an advantage in one we have to sacrifice at least one other option heavily, especially in the short term.

So, we have room for 1 more Vehicle, 2 MA, 5 more Marines, 11 MS, and all the defenses. Here's what I'm seeing for defenses:
6x Dopps (Purchased) 6x Magellas (Purchased) 1x Luggun (50 RP)
8x Desert Zakus (600 RP) 3x Doms (600 RP)
4x Marines (1x Purchased, 30 RP for the rest) 2x Panzergrenadiers (if the SS will support, if not, then 2 more Marines (50 RP for SS, 20 RP for Marine alternative))
6x AA Guns (60 RP) 6x SAM Turrets (120 RP) 10x MPC Turrets (1000 RP) 1x Large MPC (300 RP)
Optional, but would be totally awesome: 1x Adzam (1000 RP)
Total for defenses: W/ Adzam: 3810 w/o Adzam: 2810
I know this seems a bit much, but it could also lead to creating a secondary Earth HQ, with easy striking points to Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
To have it solidly fortified, and to build add ons (and boost defenses, as well, at those points), we could easily create something to rival Jaburo, and if the unfortunate happens, have a fall back point/re-staging area.

I like the list, it is ambitious and we could definitely use more of that imo. I'm not sure that RF-1 would be the most appropriate place to apply that level of defense though, in the end due to positioning it's a lot harder to defend on a per-battle basis than a Manila or other larger-sized installation.
I'd also drop some of the MPC turrets to get higher-level MS pilots, even if it meant fewer MS as well; highly talented pilots in well-armed suits is my philosophy. Again, I like the thought though. We'll see what happens if we end up holding RF-1 and rebuilding it throughout this weekend, it's hard to plan when we might not even have control by the time we get any significant amount of RP assembled.

True. But I'm just thinking of what we can use against ships that try to do what we did, which was bomb the hell out of it.

True, but the one advantage we do have (or not) is that the biggest threat to us as far as the EF's high-altitude bombing capability goes is their fielding of Depp Roggs, and not a huge freaking ship like the Gaw.
With this in mind though, I'm not sure how effective the MPCs will be at repelling a bombing run. I'll have to ask someone about that...I'm especially concerned if our Targeting Facility goes down during the early part of a siege or something. imo I'd cut the number of turrets in half and buy a ton of Dopps, maybe try to get some lvl2 or lvl3 pilots in them and rely on them to repel bombers.
Also, I've entertained the notion of (as an overall strategy) "letting" them take bases (obviously not necessarily this week with RF-1) with minimal resistance, then swooping in with a fleet and sieging them. Although I don't like playing defensive at all, we could catch them in a bad spot this way.

Hey, it was the PCs who recaptured RF-1. Shouldn't it be a TAF member's property? :3

We reviewed the rules and the Dragon will automatically repair one grade per day while it's at RF-1.
