Hehe.
Anyways, if you all want to go the 2 v 2 route, I'll stand behind it. I just emphasize that we need to do more than counter their punches with our own. If they've thrown all their eggs into two baskets, it's time to terrorize the hen house. (Which doesn't make sense in the slightest, but dammit, I liked how it sounded!)
Two large fleets to counteract their two large fleets will take resources. Do you think we actually can get the whole of Zeon not tied up in Chan's plan to pool funds? Maybe organize the effort over the weekend, and have them transfer everything on Monday?
Like I said before, if we've got two large fleets butting heads with their groups, we also need to organize 2 - 3 smaller PC-focused groups and start ruining their supply fleets. We also might try to knock out the more vulnerable Earth Federation positions -- ones where a handful of patrols are the main defenses.
Fighters are a must -- and since we can't field as many numbers as the Earth Federation with their Himalaya, I love Matthew's idea of concentrating on more skilled pilots. The Dopp is a superior aircraft to the Tin Cod and Sabrefish, so with better pilots, I believe we could face them on a 1 v 3 basis.
Mobile suits probably shouldn't be the backbone of our forces on Earth. The ground campaign in the real One Year War was fought largely by conventional forces. Sourcebooks constantly point to the fact that mobile suits were never capable of countering planes very well, and that Odessa was a battle fought largely by tanks. Not to mention mobile weapons had absolutely zero real impact on the war at sea.
