Right now we have the advantage over the Feddies in terms of tempo. We've broken their North Africa force, as well held off their attack on Manila. This presents us with a couple possibilities, and matching problems.
Firstly how are we going to defend Manila? Does it get reinforced eventually on its own through side RP? Unfortunately even with me, and (I think) Draco heading to Manila we're still somewhat outnumbered unless we get a few more players (I'm asking for Orichi, and Ryocha's help). The only reason I discount Ming is I'm not certain of the Zaku Manipulator's effectiveness on Earth.
That would leave Gaplant's forces to maintain a strong presence in North Africa for if/when the Feddies want to take a second stab at the RF mines.
Unfortunately this is where we run into a bit of a problem which is we're going to be tied down defending our weaker assets until the Feddies decide to focus their forces elsewhere. Is there anyway we can strip RF-1 and RF-2? Doing this would mean we get RP immediately (though less in the long run), but more importantly it takes away the biggest "easy" targets the feddies have, and allow us to focus on other targets (the RP fleets in the various oceans, defending Manila, taking Malta, or maybe Belfast).
My other concerns are the pilot idling in the middle of nowhere when waiting for action. I would ask that they idle in a base (preferably a less defended one), so that they can bolster its defenses, they can spar/duel together, and not leave them open to be gang ambushed (again not likely yet, but a threat, but regardless at least by idling in a base they're acting as a potential deterrents).
Also we need to start looking at pushing the game forward. I really, really think that we can take Malta, and with Malta taken we can crush Belfast. Putting Europe under Zeon control (which means patrols, more side RP, etc), would be a fantastic goal, with very heavy payoff.
Most importantly I'd like to see more definite dialogue with what the officers are planning. Just because y'all have your own boards doesn't mean that we can't talk about what you guys are discussing.
Edit: Also these are my suggestions, I don't mean to sound like I'm railroading my opinion, but this is what I see as the most tactically sound decisions. Also is there any downside for stripping the RF mines besides not having them for future reference? If that is a problem we can always invest in mines build along with bases for defense.
