Event writing process

People ask me a lot how I figure out who wins and who loses in a big complicated clusterfuck event. It is a multi-part process.

First I get all the emails and list all the purchases out and read all of the plans and relevant RP posts. From there I make a text file where I list all of the tactical advantages and disadvantages of the battle, and write out all the forces, exactly what their stats are and where they are on the battlefield.

Ends up looking something like this:

From here, I make a decision of, more or less, who is going to win. After that I write up a rough draft of how I think the event is going to play out point by point, and then I start actually writing. Normally the victor is decided before I write anything, but the actual damage done to both sides is decided during the writing.
