Alright. Want to start this one off by apologizing for all the jumping around and revisions in strategy. Guess you could call it very active brainstorming gone horribly, horribly wrong -_-*.
After consulting with Ketara via email, I believe the naval convoy attack as proposed earlier is not a viable option. Since the Gaws aren’t in a fleet, two separate rolls would have to be made when entering the territories – making the chances of one or both getting stopped by a patrol significant.
So I’d like to scrap that idea, but use pieces of it in an alternative proposal that taps the European and East Asian forces –
1)
Rather than diverting troops and RP from East Asia this week, we’ll leave Aldo where he is and keep Xavier in possession of his RP. That RP will be spent on a Gaw tomorrow. This Gaw will function as a quick response unit against Federation movements in East Asia.
Ritter and Duncan will make their way to Central Asia. Ritter will end up stationed on the Gaw, along with Aldo and his MS team. Xavier Brennan is going to move into East Asia and meet up with Alain and Persephone and Duncan to launch an ambush against EF personnel, and then retreat to Central Asia by the end of the week.
2)
At Malta, the PCs there will continue to repair from the assault. Dragon and Stilva will do the same until Thursday, when Stilva will be “OK” and Dragon “Lightly Damaged.”
Thursday, Dragon and Stilva will move to Europe. All non-team MS, infantry and tanks (that can fit) will be transferred off-ship to Malta for its defense. PCs are welcome to board the Dragon and Stilva, or stay behind to help defend Malta and finish repairing.
3)
While this is going on, Excelsior will make its way to Europe. Tuesday, it moves to North America. Wednesday, the West Arctic. Thursday, Europe.
When it gets to Europe, it forms a fleet with Stilva and Dragon.
4)
The weekend rolls around. With paychecks and RP credits, we should have something around 2600 RP, between those stationed in East Asia and those in Europe. We can use some of this to purchase a Jukon II to put Marina in, and the remainder will be spent on reinforcing Malta.
Alain Grace - 150 RP
Ando Shoji - 365 RP
Duncan Keystone - 275 RP
Markos Steiner - 200 RP
Aldo P. Armistad - 250 RP
Ferusha Glavadeen - 200 RP
Persephone Dawn - 193 RP
Ritter Novosad - 233 RP
Xavier Brennan - 355 RP
Yuji Takeshi - 100 RP
----------Total: 2321 RP

Monday rolls around. The Gaw Fleet paradrops into the Atlantic to target the 1st Naval Convoy. It will receive 2 x Flight Support to aide in this attack. At least one PC should accompany it to make this purchase and collect the RP credit.
On Tuesday, the Gaw Fleet moves to North Africa.
Wednesday, the Gaw Fleet paradrops into the Indian Ocean to target the 2nd Naval Convoy.
Thursday, the Gaw fleet either moves into East Asia to combat the Federation there, or moves back to Malta in anticipation of the assault on Belfast.
And by the weekend, we’ll have a 2000 RP credit to cash in, as well as the upcoming paychecks. Those will go where needed.
That’s the gist of my idea. Please, as always, feel free to tear it to shreds if it seems illogical or flawed or simply unnecessary.
I will mention that there’s still no guarantee of the paradrop success. The fleet makes it easier/safer for the Gaws, but they could be blocked from entering territory by patrols. If this is the case, they basically just wait one day and try again – since I doubt anything in the Feddie arsenal can actually handle three Gaws, especially if one is the Recon Type.
It also does leave Malta somewhat vulnerable for a day or two, if all of the European PCs there want to hop ship. Honestly, we just need one of you to help with the Gaw fleet, so it's probably best if the rest stay put until we get it properly reinforced. Up to you, though...
… and that’s it for me! I’ll check again tomorrow night, but otherwise am gonna go quiet for this week. Got a test and a paper due Thursday that I really have to concentrate on. Whatever you all decide, I wish you the best!
