AFAIK Morrigan crashed into one of the southern Philippine islands a few miles away from the base, shouldn't that be close enough for a very conservative Sally Forth to help protect it?

Hmm. Can't say about the sally forth. It'd be nice if it protected Morrigan, but I wouldn't bank on it.
At the moment, I'm in favor of holing up or fortifying on Monday. Then on Tuesday, we can sally forth to assist the attacks on Black Hawk and the 87th Independent Fleet.

What is the current condition of them? If they are capable of launching another assault on Monday, I say fortify. But if not, we might as well hole up to avoid taking big losses from the impending bombardment.
Sheesh I wish Manilla had some Howitzers.

These are the current ships they have available at Manila.
Along with the 87th Integrated Fleet, which contains...
Of their PCs, only Seth Yamanu (the once-Tael) is okay Monday.
Tuesday, we could have larger problems. Aurem Senaiha will be done repairing. Jane Sheppard is in North Africa, repairing 1 day. If she moved to East Asia Monday, she could join up with the fleet Tuesday.
But I just noticed an even bigger problem: Jack Murphy is in the Pacific Ocean. He has over 1900 credits. If he purchases a Himalaya on Monday, and moves to East Asia that same day, he can join the fleet Tuesday. That would effectively nullify our efforts with Duncan Keystone and the Gaw drop.

Well....We could try a gamble.
Pull back, let them capture Manilla, and then hit them while they're in Manilla and all repairing.
But that's just me being a crazy bastard.
But even if he does buy the Himalaya that wont leave him much money left to stock it up.

Gotta remember, they could transfer RP to him on Monday as well. He could use that RP to stock the Himalaya for Tuesday.
Ultimately, do you guys think it'd be easier to simply have the African Korps + Duncan move into East Asia Monday, and then all attack the Black Hawk Tuesday? Instead of commiting more RP to the region in the form of another Gaw, perhaps it really would be easier to start throwing RP at Malta, and have a massive force move up to Europe in hopes of laying siege to Belfast by Week 7.

If the situation is looking as bad as it is, it might be foolish to buy another gaw that'll get cut down. Rather, if we all move to East Asia and just attack the Big Tray while Manilla sallies forth, we could still have a chance to break the siege without really spending any unnecessary RP while the funding can be directed toward Europe.
At this time, I propose a strategic retreat. AK+Duncan attacking the fleet + a mild sally forth against them in order to evacuate as much as possible, get people out of Manilla, get Morrigan repaired, and for RP reasons, destroy any sensitive information at Manilla and simply leave the base to it's fate.
@_@ My my, I might actually die in this battle with the way my character is about being reckless in order to protect other people. Haha. Wish me luck!

Mmm...Classic.

I'm for Sally forth, take them while they're repairing, one ship is disabled, if we can hit them monday, then fortify tuesday, I feel that is best action. See if we can't take a ship out in process.

Erm... if we sally forth Monday, and get torn to shreds by fighter craft or PCs they purchase while stationed on the Black Hawk or the 87th Integrated, we won't really have anything leftover to assist the Africa Korps when they try to punch the Black Hawk on Tuesday. Not sure I'm 100% behind that idea.
I guess we could, alternatively, try and get Persephone and Ritter out of there tomorrow. If they buy flight support, it actually could screw up the fleet quite a bit. Followed by a second attack from the Africa Korps the next day, with its own flight support.

Like I said in the other topic, I'm not going to force the others to attack, but I definitely will attack. If I die, I'll see you in 7 days. But eh, it's war, it happens.
>_> If I die bringing any amount of good fortune to us, I'll be more then happy to oblige. If you guys get out, I dunno what you'll be doing after Manilla, but you and that spiffy Gaw of yours would be more useful.
FOR GLORY!
Edit: Amusingly enough, due to a past of dying in Gundam RPG's, I always have backup characters planned.

Well, let's hope you and yours make it out alive ^_^.
So if we sally forth on Monday, and ask Tian and Dan to each buy support services, we could potentially get them out of the base and do a little damage to their ships. Possibly wipe out one of those Hillocks.
Then on Tuesday, the Africa Korps can hit them. If you buy 2 x services, you might have a chance to put the Black Hawk down. Maybe not, but it'd definitely slow 'em down for a little bit.
