Ok this thread is mostly for Radune, Altoh, and myself since we will be the ones carrying out the mine killing operations. This a thread where we can discuss strategy in certain situations.
Anyways, Radune you wont be alone for long at Side 4! I sent a pm to Altoh to remind him to travel with me to 2e so we can get a ride from our rogue contact. By the time we make it over to reach you should have atleast attacked one mine before Altoh and myself get to work.
One other thing I must discuss with you two. Don't be surprised if Chan strips the mines either before or after we attack some mines. The objetive was to run chan in to a defficent by seeing to it those mines go away and cease to function.
I believe Radune understands the drill when we go to exit so Altoh pay attention and read this part. When we go to leave we both will ride on Sphinx's shuttle and ride across 3e as planned. Radune will be riding outside. To cover Radune, Latooni will perform a (A) action on the Solomon fleet when we are about to leave 3e. So Radune will make it across with us back in to friendly territory.
Radune and Altoh please voice any concerns you have with this plan in this thread.

The only advice I have is to specify that your attacks should be hit and runs in case Chan buys a ton of defenses. That and just keep watch and don't let yourself get blocked in by tons of zeek pcs. Good Luck

Ok. It appears the zeeks trying to prevent us from having any fun with killing mines. Which is good in a way because thats means they are focused on protecting the mines and not taking Texas colony or coming after the fleet.
Radune you are obviously in a tight spot(Once again I'm sorry I got you in this position :() The zeeks have layed down some rp to protect two mines at Side 4 (overlord 4 and 6) with 3 additional zaku II at each of those mines that I named. It would seem as if the zeeks have left overlord 5 with only 1 zaku to defend it.
You could jump right on Overlord 5, but the problem with attacking it, is that the zeeks know that would be your first impulse to attack the one mine that would give you the least trouble. I personally think it is likely the zeeks will buy some more Zakus for that mine exept have better quality pilots to repel the attack. Think maybe one or two lvl2 pilots added into the mix.
The option I would take would be to attack one of the other two mines that are already stocked with four zakus. Because of the limited space for the mines they can't buy anymore Zakus(they can still buy gattle and other things). I still think it very possible they could be trying to bait you with Overlord 5. As I said you should really look at the other two mines that are already stocked.
Your other option is that you could wait on Richard Banks(Frenzy) to arrive at your location tomorrow and ambush him the next day. At that point you should be damaged again and you could make a run back out to 3e and maybe run to L3. Or you could jump over to Side 1 and take up shelter CMC colony cluster there. Because of the Antartic treaty fighting is forbidden there so If the zeeks attack it could change diplomatic relations with the zeeks.
What's your opinion Radune?
Altoh don't worry about anything we are still a day out from 2e.

I say he should hit one of the other mines to get damaged and get out of there. He should use speed to his advantage and try to keep the zeeks off guard. Just my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure they expect me to attack the almost undefended one, and get slight damage so that they might attack me in a day or two.

Go ahead and attack one of two already defended mines. You have enough vp so that you can take all four of those Zakus on. You should come out with damage in any case. At that point you could do as Daren suggested and run out of 3e and regroup with the fleet.
Altoh and myself could always switch up and have sphinx deliver us to L3 instead. Altoh and myself wouldn't mind paying chan a visit ;D

Hang with me here now, this is kinda awkward to explain..
I expect them to expect me not to attack the undefended one, since it's such an obvious trap, and they probably don't plan on strengthening the defenses any more, so I could probably take that one out pretty easily.

Except they might feel the other bases are defended enough as is.
I say you make sure to attack with the intent of utter destruction. ...Shame I wasn't there with you, I'm sure my profile would give me a better chance of knowing exactly how to blow mines the hell up. You definitely don't want to capture them and strip them.

Radune, remember Sphinx will be traveling today to 3e and she will use a hide action the day you plan to board. So get in contact with her to arrange with her when you plan to join up with her.
Altoh, I guess we will sit for a day or two. We might even explore the possibility of joining back up with the fleet and getting involved in that attack on the Bomer fleet. If we do that maybe the zeeks will think the pressure if off them and they may move out of the are and leave the mines unprotected by pc's.
Right now we will sit and wait and see what develops either with the mines or with this Zanzibar/Ryocha thing going down.

I'm both a bit dissapointed at me and Chan, to be honest. Chan for using such a simple trap, and me for overthinking it, falling for it and not accomplishing anything. Damn.

Well as I pointed out in the chat you made them waste rp defending 3 mines. So it wasn't wasted effort.

In some way you are correct Daren. However once payday comes I'm afirad things are going to get real nasty real quick. Those mines have to die. Atleast some of them.
