This post is to bring to attention that Me and Maria give anyone on the same ship as us +5 VP/CP.
Gaplant seems uninterested in this fact.
This game is run on tactics, you fail sir!
Ketara would weep if he knew you said that. In fact he should post here and mention how that attitude would make X-COM rape you.
Ando, you are not new, you have been here since day one and this increase is still a 12% VP gain and a 33% CP gain.
The CP gains can be shrugged off in most cases but the VP is undeniable. That's another duel in most situations. VP Buff for Orichi is 17%, Marko 16%, and 26% for people like Naomi.
That is PCs.
NPCs, you end up loading up a Gaw with 6 Mobile suits, 8 aircraft, and 6 tanks, tanks and aircraft commonly being only level 1 purchases. Each level 1 NPC goes in with a 50% VP boost! What is not to love? That's a ship with 70 extra VP on vehicles, 100 VP if you count mobile suits.
Chris I'm sure will go about making the most use of his loli once she's sea worthy, but this is a nice tool during these large attacks which shouldn't be over looked, we have two of these things now! Make them work for us! It's a Zeon perk!

Yes. It's tactics.
I bring to light tactics that are unappreciated. Like for 50 RPin friendly territory, you can get 48 Marines and 4 vehicles...but everyone goes for the Dopps.

I'm pretty glad he made it. Gotta remember, some of us are still new. Dan had told me about this in PM, but I think this post makes me appreciate the concept quite a bit more.
EDIT: Regarding the Dopps, I think that's a reaction to the fact that we've suffered from lack of air superiority in so many of our major engagements.

Would it be bad to pick up some support from the Helis once in awhile? The dopps have superiority, to be sure, but I think we need to pick up a few groups of those attack helicopters. They're no slouch, and when we're sieging/assaulting fortress/fortifications, the firepower and fact that they won't quit when the Dopps do would really play in for us.
Just something to think about.

I suggested using Helis in the attack against the baneblades. Now, I have nothing more to contribute to the topic beyond the point of I am confused. Why are people calling Marina a loli? Isn't she like..17?

As they seem to be using it? The term Lolita means a sexually attractive or precocious young girl, depending on the Age of Consent of the Colonies, Marina may very well be of legal age to have sex (Where I live, the Age of Consent is 16, for example).
Loli usually applies to girls in the 8 to 14-15 category. lol
