Well first off going to apologize, I tried something risky last week with our RP, basically to try to steal a Gaw. It failed so I don't have the RP to build the fortress promised in the West Arctic now.
I have 433 RP:
I need: 350 - Fortification (in Arctic & Coastal) 900 - Fortress
I Desire: 300 - Mine
Total Needed By Thursday: 817 RP Total Desired By Thursday: 1117 RP
I would like to put these all in one location/base for group protection. The GM CCTs that I purchased will be placed in the base for its protection. Any extra I have will be put towards protecting the base.

We don't have that much money.
We need to resupply the fleet first or its gone.
Sorry Jojo, you had the money to do this and gambled it on something else. I don't think we have the funds to afford a base anyway and it just adds a lightly defended target for the Zeon since it won't be resupplied with NPC troops.

The base can probably come next week after we've been paid. However, we need to know the purpose of having this base.

The thing that bothers me is that the base could become a money sink.
I think we're better served by planning for a future attack to make North Africa/Europe or Australia Federal held rather than trying to build a base.

If there's one thing Gihren's Greed has taught me, it is that the Feddies HAVE to use the advantage in technology to their advantage and just attack and push into enemy territory at the start of the game, before Zeon have the chance to catch up.
TL;DR: Turtling gets you killed.

The purpose is, I believe, territorial gain. Doing so would (eventually) give us RP, side RP, and another point in favor of Earth orbit control, which would eliminate a Zeon patrol there.

I still think we'd be better served to do this by conquest though, we have so little reason to move through orbit at the moment anyway.

The reason we want a base in the West Arctic is pretty simple. The first is that it isolates North America by forcing them to travel through lots of patrols in order to get to us. Next it builds us more RP. It takes us a step closer to capturing Earth Orbit. Finally it gives us more Side RP.

Actually, such a base is really easy to defend once you get CCTs. They have a massive bonus in conditions like that, even against people geared for it.
Fortress+Mine = 180 RP a week, as well as 150 side RP.

no its: Income: (120 + 80) x 1.75 = 350 It's 1.5, but I mixed up fortress income with fortification. It's 300. EDIT: on the plus side, it'll be in the black after only 4 weeks, not counting the CCTs which might be useful anyway.

Jojo, do you want me to move to New Amsterdam for added protection? Perhaps the fleet while we repair?

Jojo, I sent you the 46 i had left.
I purchased an Lvl3 GM and a Lvl2 Type 74. The GM blew up and the tank upgraded.
