Before the Manila deployment and debreifing
Jack Verse watches as Admiral Hunter speeds away. He looks ahead of him at the aide left behind, The aide throws a clean EF uniform at Jacks face. There was also a paper telling him where his temp quarters are and where and when the breifing would take place. He looks around him at the people at the base, they give him a look of scorn. He then looks back at the GMPGT, the mobile suit that has saved his life more times than he can count. He then remembers something his father once told him, "No matter what anybody says, believe in yourself. Believe in what you are fighting for and everything will fall into place." Jack then stands up straight and puts on his game face and walks towards his temp quarters to get cleaned up.
Twenty minutes later...
Jack arrives at his assigned quarters and he walks in and closed and locks the door. He puts his stuff down on the perfectly made bed. Jack then walks into the bathroom where he sees a small shower. He prepares it to get himself cleaned up. While he waits he notices a desk that has a package with his name on it. He decides to read it later as his shower is ready.
Forty-Five minutes later...
Jack emirged from the shower, finally feeling fresh and clean. He gets dressed up in his clead pair of uniform pants and a white undershirt. He then sits down at the desk and opens the package. There was a letter in it along with some computer disks. He reads the letter in his mind.
"For the eyes of Jack "Striker" Verse. In this package is data concerning you and your family's history and lineage..."
Jack pauses as the reads the note. He then wonders who had sent this and wonders what was the purpose of the 'Striker' name put in quotation marks. HE continues to read the letter,
...If you are reading this then you are last in the line of your family. You need to know why your family has such an extensive history in the military and in war..."
Jack had always wondered why his family were known through out every war and in the various military branches for generations. He continues to read,
"... You are decended from a ancient line of a clan of warriors. They were charged with defending the nobility no matter what the cost. They were exceptioan fighters for any Era. Their combat prowless was praticaly unmatched by their determination and their courage in the face of danger..."
Jack leaned back in his chair as everything started to make sense. He had always wondered where it had came from. His determination, his saving of his commanding officer Jay Tessa, and his quick thinking in the heat of battle. He continues to read the rest,
"... The disks provided will show and tell you the rest of your family history..."
Jack looks at the bundle of computer disks then looks at the last line of text on the letter,
"... Finally I leave you with this verse, our creed and motto "If you do not fight for what you believe in, all may be lost for everyone else. But do not fight for yourself, fight for others, others that may be saved through your effort." With that I shall say fare thee well my son."
He sees his fathers signature at the bottom. Jack now filled with a new sense of purpose, has regained the confidence to face whatever comes his way. For this is the way of his family and it's his duty to fulfill his blood born duty.
"I will make you proud of me father, for I am Jack "Striker" Verse!"
Jack puts his Uniform on and gets ready do defend his beliefs, his honor, and all that he cares for.
