Is it possible that when there is a ban, that the person get e-mailed given some indication as to why?
Its very unnerving when you get a ban and you have no idea what for.
Kind of like being fined for not paying a speeding ticket you never knew you got.

Sure this is possible.
Just one more thing on the list of 4345754534645645234 things I would have to do every day though.

I just make the suggestion because it would prevent me (or whoever) going into the chat having no idea what happened (though some may know). Might make things a little easier on you?

I think that should be left up to any teammates who feel up to the job. Contacting members who can't see the side forums should be a team responsibility anyway.

Its not about that though. Its about going to get on the forum in general and having no idea why. Its nothing to do with seeing gameplay stuff.

I would note I suggested this as well. It's a bit out of left-field, sometimes.
Alternative - don't ban people, just cornfields them. At least that way they can log out and still see the main forums.

Or people could try not to do things which result in being banned.

Or people could try not to do things which result in being banned. I loled@that. Seriously, though, it doesn't take much effort to shoot a message to someone that you're banning them. Takes even less not to be trigger happy.

Or people could try not to do things which result in being banned. That's kind of my point - most people would assumedly not do them if they knew a banning would result. So if they get banned, it would come as a surprise to most, and they wouldn't really be sure what the cause was.

I think locking problem threads or giving a warning would work better. Most people would stop if you tell them to.
